Instagram is finally arriving on Windows Phone, filling a major hole in Microsoft's mobile OS app ecosystem.

Users won't find it yet in the Windows Phone Store as it won't be available until 11 a.m. PST/7 p.m. GMT.

In the vein of WP, Instagram Live Tiles will refresh with new Start screen info, and the app supports fast resume.

Despite its welcome if not overdue arrival, the app will be missing some major features, including video capture and upload. Photo tagging is also MIA as is viewing geotaxis. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, in-app capture is sorely lagging.

Instagram will land on Windows Phone 8, meaning owners of non-upgraded phones are out of luck.

That's now all...

Instagram itself is a score in itself for Windows Phone users, but there's more in store for the OS than just the filter-ific photo app.

According to Engadget, Waze is also making it's way to Windows Phone.
