I am not well at all, and perhaps a bit of delirium is beginning to set in along with my other maladies. I have a wicked sore throat, I am certain that the pain resembles what chicks experienced when making porn flicks with Ron Jeremy. I am hot and then cold…sweating, and then freezing…and sometimes, both at the same time.  My body temperature is vacillating nearly as much as Mitt Romney’s stances on critical policy issues. And My Body Itself?  Oh Dear God My Body!! From what’s left of my hair, down to my toes it all hurts.  My body feels like it just spent thirty-six straight hours of having sex with Rosie O’Donnell, and she was on top the entire time. I am broken, tired, and in pain, but alas, I shall try to carry on, but seriously?  This shit is tagging my ass and wiping me out with the same speed and effectiveness of an Amish barn raising. And if it doesn’t rain today, I will be unable to call off sick, because the Beer Mine owner also farms.  It’s a no-win situation. The only silver lining in all of this? It’s nice to know that my BFF/OSP, Schmoop, is there when I need her, and I didn’t even have to ask. She called to see if I needed anything while working Monday, and ended up bringing me more clothes and more flu/sore throat drugs. I think she was more than happy to do that because when she asked me if I needed anything…Rather than my typical reply of, “No, I’ll be fine.”, I said, “Yes.” She gets worried when I actually admit to not feeling well, and in an odd way, I find that to be quite endearing, so, Thanks Schmooooop!! That’s all I have; my ass is ready for another round of pills, a big glug glug of cold water, and more sleep. FitBloggin Reflections

From Thursday through Sunday of this past week, I attended my first ever blogging conference in Baltimore, MD.  The name of the conference is <a href="http://fitbloggin.com/" target="_blank">FitBloggin'</a> and it brings people together who care about being healthy.  I learned a lot about the business of blogging, social media strategies and other morsels of the blogging lifestyle. I think that sometimes I've gotten caught up in wanting to write what "my readers" want to read and forgetting about the true purpose of TBW.  I don't ever want what I write to lack authenticity.   It's not about how many people are reading each post/tweet.  It's about me finally losing The Big Weight and being able to have a way to reflect on this journey. In the meantime, if I am able to inspire someone along the way - fabulous! - but my goal is to stay true to myself and true to the goal of TBW: lose the weight while learning more about myself each day!

Position:  Software Engineer Location: Milpitas, CA Duration: Full time Job Description: ZGRP/E-Beam Engineering division designs and manufactures Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) wafer inspection and review equipment.  There are two product lines, with one optimized for wafer inspection (fast defect finding) and the other optimized for ultra-high resolution defect review.  Each product’s life cycle is about 2 years from early development to release.  The market for e-beam inspection and review is expected to have strong growth in the next few years, complementing and supplementing optical wafer inspection. Responsibilities: Self starter able to analyze software requirements, design, implement and test system control software for next generation Semiconductor Wafer Review/Inspection machines.  This includes documenting the requirements and design, implementing the design and getting the documents and code peer reviewed.  This person will also be responsible for system integration and testing of software, firmware and hardware related to the features being developed. Need to be able to work both independently (with some initial guidance or supervision) and in a team environment (interacting closely with others). The responsibility may include occasional deployment/trouble shooting at customer sites. Preferred Qualifications: 1) The software is primarily written in C# & .net, is highly multi-threaded, and is distributed on multiple networked PCs running various operating systems. 2) Experienced with Object-Oriented software analysis and design using UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling, C#, Java and/or C/C++ programming. 3) Required to work with hardware and system groups to extract requirements and map them to a software design. 4) Experience in developing and debugging large high-level machine control software applications. 5) Requires good knowledge of multi-threaded/parallel processing applications. 6) Requires very good written and verbal communication skills. 7) Semiconductor equipment experience preferred. 8) System control and image/data processing experience a plus. 9) Experience with CMM, UML, RTC also a plus. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience. Or Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience. Or Doctorate (Academic). Or equivalent.
