 I mean, c’mon?  You had it all you dumb fuck.<br /><br />Look at yourself….Good looking kid.  Captain of the HS wrestling team.  I bet you had your choice of chicks…if you never had to bring them ‘round your brother’s house…<br /><br />Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had it all, and he gave it up in order to kill innocent children and policemen and forever disrupt the lives of people whom he has never met, all the while…<br /><br />Being one of the good kids down the street, as people who have never read Rolling Stone’s depiction of him illustrates.<br /><br />Well folks, the Rolling Stone depiction of Tsarnaev in the article, if you take the time to read it, is less than glamorous.  It depicts him as he is, a terrorist.<br /><br />The article talks about things like the face of terrorism dwells next door to us, in an American kid like us… within us.<br /><br />It isn’t an article of glamorization of Tsarnaev, it is a warning that killers, terrorists, and those who do harm, come in all sizes, colors, shapes, and backgrounds.<br /><br />And sometimes…they look, act, and pretend to feel just like “us.”<br /><br />I hear a lot of complaints that “our” government won’t get off its collective ass…but do you ever see the ones posting such krill ever do that with informative ideas? BCBS-TX, and the fight begins.....

So, My broker put me in contact with an employee in the small group department at BCBS because I want to file an appeal.  She's is saying basically that all fully insured contracts with BCBS has this limitation and exclusion and that it will basically be denied (my appeal).  <br /><span lang="EN"><br />We went back and forth for a bit. She had already told me this last week, but my purpose in the email was to find out how to file an appeal. That way, they'll remain mired in poverty while working two jobs if they don't freeze or starve first.<br /><br />The fast-food giant, along with credit-card conglomerate Visa, recently unveiled a much-ridiculed website <a href="http://www.practicalmoneyskills.com/mcdonalds/budget/budget2.php">to educate workers about how to manage their money</a>.  With fast food workers across the country complaining about poverty jobs, McDonald's must have thought it was stepped in to save the day with budgeting advice. The company just stepped in it.<br /><br />The McDonald’s website says that jobs are “<a href="http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/careers/benefits.html">a great way to earn extra income for anyone, from students to moms and dads</a>.” The problem is not that minimum wage has decreased about a third in value in the past 60 years, or that half of all minimum wage workers are full-fledged adults struggling to <a href="http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes353021.htm">survive on an average wage of $8.68 per hour</a>. <br /><br />According to McDonald's, they need to budget more.<br /><br />The sample budget assumes workers have two part-time jobs that they work 52.7 hours a week, on an average fast food wage.  The budget includes savings, car payments and a $600 mortgage.<br /><br />What it doesn’t include is groceries.  Too bad -- one of the McDonalds-approved saving methods is <a href="http://www.practicalmoneyskills.com/mcdonalds/video.php">eating at </a><a href="http://www.practicalmoneyskills.com/mcdonalds/video.php">McDonald's</a>.<br /><br />Healthcare, included in the budget, is supposed to cost $20 a month, the amount the average McDonald's healthcare plan costs per <i>week</i>.  For the minimum wage workers at McDonald's, healthcare is so inaccessible that only 30,000 company and franchisee employees are enrolled in the company healthcare plan. That's less than half the number of new employees <a href="http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/careers.html">hired in a single day</a>last month.<o:p></o:p><br /><br />The budget is so out of whack that it doesn’t even account for paying your McDonald’s uniform (or any other clothes).  Or gasoline.  Or heating for your house.  Or non-essential purchases, a decent emergency fund, children, or being sick.<br /><br />But then, <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-12-12/mcdonald-s-8-25-man-and-8-75-million-ceo-shows-pay-gap.html">McDonalds acknowledges that workers aren’t actually supposed to be surviving off of what they make</a>.  That would ruin their whole profit model.  In the meantime, for struggling workers, McDonald’s offers advice:<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">“Everyone has a goal. Frank Wolf: Benghazi survivors forced to sign non-disclosure agreements

Stunning news was delivered today on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives by Virginia Congressman Frank Wolf (R-10th District) who had questioned earlier this week why no survivors of the Benghazi, Libya, terrorist attack had testified publicly before Congress. <br /><br />The September 11, 2012, attack on the American Embassy resulted in the deaths of four Americans including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Officer Sean Smith, and two embassy security officers who were former U.S. Navy Seals, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. Questions have been raised with some allegations the White House tried to cover up what happened that night.<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/congressman-benghazi-survivors-forced-sign-non-disclosure-agreements_739975.html">Weekly Standard</a> reported Wolf's remarks from the floor of the House as he revealed the answer to his question:<br /><blockquote>"According to trusted sources that have contacted my office, many if not all of the survivors of the Benghazi attacks along with others at the Department of Defense, the CIA have been asked or directed to sign additional non-disclosure agreements about their involvement in the Benghazi attacks. Some of these new NDAs, as they call them, I have been told were signed as recently as this summer."</blockquote>He went on to say:<br /><blockquote>"If these reports are accurate, this would be a stunning revelation to any member of Congress, any member of Congress that finds this out and also more importantly to the American people. A poll done as part of the report shows that 74 percent of those employed under federal contract jobs earn less than $10 an hour. Only 26 percent receive sick days, and only 11 percent receive employer-provided health insurance. It was supposed to increase exports and create jobs. Scott politely describes those lies as based on "flawed trade models, and on distorted and one-sided interpretations of the findings of those models."<br /><br />We got the same crap with NAFTA. It was supposed to create 200,000 jobs. It cost 682,900 U.S. jobs by 2010, with job losses in every U.S. state and congressional district.<br /><br />We'll be hit with more "flawed trade models" as corporations and their stooges the <a href="http://teamsternation.blogspot.com/2013/05/fast-tracking-trade-deals-is-last-thing.html">U.S. Chamber of Commerce </a> lobby for the latest job-killing trade deals, the <a href="http://teamsternation.blogspot.com/2013/07/corporations-want-to-hide-dangers-of-tpp.html">Trans-Pacific Partnership</a> (TPP) and the<a href="http://teamsternation.blogspot.com/2013/07/tafta-delay-good-for-workers.html"> Trans-Atlantic Free Trade Agreement</a> (TAFTA).<br /><br />Scott isn't a fan of TPP or TAFTA:<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">FTAs and other trade agreements make it enormously profitable to outsource production to countries such as South Korea and China that use currency manipulation, dumping, and other unfair trade practices to undercut production and wages in the United States. U.S. MNCs (multinational corporations), including Apple, Boeing, Dell, Ford, GE, GM, and Intel have also profited enormously from outsourcing to Mexico, China, and other low-wage trade partners under the protection of FTAs and the WTO. The end result is a race to the bottom in wages and working conditions for most members of these agreements (Inequality.is 2013). The day before and the 30 day script

Well, tomorrow is the day!!!  The day I will do my official 1 month weigh in!  I am so excited and nervous at the same time.  So in true Ellie style, it will be recorded!!!!! The Summer is on!

I met her at the world finals on the Microsoft Innovative Teacher competition in Cape Town in 2010 where she represented Croatia with her winning project entitled Greetings from the World. After that I met Arjana again at the inaugural Partners in Learning Institute in Seattle in July 2011. Since then Arjana along with Bart Versvijel from Belgium have been involved in running four online <a href="http://teachmeetinternational.org/">Internationl Teachmeets</a> as well as a number of online activities for the European SchoolNet’s e-twinning project.
