Educators enhance their teaching strategies, gain new skills, and collaborate with like-minded educators and youth media experts to enable young people to express themselves using digital tools and to create media with a personally meaningful purpose. Educators from participating sites join a global network and exhibit and share youth-created media projects, including videos, documentaries, photojournalism, animations, websites, and multimedia. iEARN joined the Adobe Youth Voices program as a founding partner in 2006, and now manages and supports the program in over 16 countries around the world. SchoolNet South Africa coordinates this programme and has received sponsorships for twelve teachers to participate in the 2012- 2013 year. For CHINA, ISRAEL’S prime attraction is as a source of cutting-edge high technology, for ISRAEL, its gaining a foothold in the world’s largest market.<br /><br />CHINA’S interest in ISRAEL’S technology combined with CHINA’S go it alone attitudes on energy issues represent a mixed blessing for Tel Aviv.<br /><br />On the plus side for ISRAEL, a CHINESE bank is in talks to <a href="http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/globes/docview.asp?did=1000756344&fid=1725">finance the construction</a> of a $25 million, 14-megawatt wind farm for <b>Yarok Energy Ltd</b> on the <b>Golan Heights</b>, where the company has operated a 4.8-megawatt wind turbine farm for the past two decades.<br /><br />CHINA’S determination to invest in contested <b>Golan territories</b> comes despite that fact that the United Nations on 12 January passed a “Resolution adopted by the General Assembly (on the report of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee [Fourth Committee] [A/66/427] ‘66/80. The occupied <b>SYRIAN Golan’</b>” which noted, “Deeply concerned (italics in original) that the <b>SYRIAN Golan</b>, occupied since 1967, has been under continued ISRAELI military occupation,” …” 2. Underlining the importance of his visit, Gantz also met with Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping.<br /><br />The bilateral military discussions build upon when ISRAELI officials hosted PLA Navy commander Wu Shengli, and a month later, when ISRAELI Defense Minister Ehud Barak visited CHINA. In 2011 ISRAELI-CHINESE bilateral trade exceeded $8 billion, roughly 20 percent higher than in 2010. <br /><br />What could cloud this otherwise sunny picture?<br /><br />IRAN.<br /><br />CHINA relies on IRAN for roughly 10 percent of its oil supply and has repeatedly rejected intensifying UN sanctions against IRAN for its nuclear activities, an effort led by the U.S. and ISRAEL, which suspect that Iran’s nuclear energy program in facts mask a secret military effort to acquire nuclear weapons.<br /><br />According to IRAN’S Ambassador to Beijing Mehdi Safari, in 2011 CHINESE-IRANIAN<a href="http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=9010172485"> trade increased</a>55 percent to more than $45 billion a $16 billion increase over 2010 trade. Notably, CHINA boosted its oil imports from IRAN by 30 percent in 2011 despite Western and UN sanctions pressure, importing nearly 557,000 barrels per day (bpd) of IRANIAN oil. " If we are paying people money so they can feed their family and AREN'T then we should pay again to feed them at school? How can you hold parents accountable for feeding their children? This speaks to the very core of many of our problems in the US  - misplaced priorities. Homes have xboxes but no food? Nice shoes and empty tummies? This is upsetting on so many levels. Of course, these statements don't fit all people as they are generalities, however, making sure children are fed is an imperative. It makes me nervous, however, that the government is having to step in and feed children who aren't being fed at home because if they aren't being fed, there are much bigger problems than just a lack of food. As a person who had a time when we were completely broken by a farm gone underwater - I know what it is like to find quarters to buy milk - so this is heartbreaking. People need jobs and kids need food. It is also unfair to penalize teachers whose kids aren't learning if the kids are hungry. It includes stickers that will tag the pages for you and add emphasis and included in the price of the notebook ($30) is a free subscription to Evernote premium for 3 months. I love evernote and while their tech support leaves a lot to be desired (it took me 6 months to figure out how to fix an installation glitch which was answered by another user on their forum after Evernote kept telling me just to use Revo uninstaller) -- it can't be beat for usefulness - that is why it is one of the few apps I am willing to pay for. I'll definitely be asking for this notebook for Christmas to try it out.
