Why do I have to like country music to like them, or be their friend? It is kind of exhausting having them show up all the time to make sure that you know that they hate whatever it is you like. If you post “Man, that was a great episode of <insert here="" show="" tv=""> last night,” it seems like there’s always somebody there to tell you that the show you mentioned sucks. I get it. It does get old. <o:p></o:p></insert></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal">If you notice though, it’s pretty much the same people making the negative comments all the time. It’s the same people who care so little about the Super Bowl (or The Oscars or whatever big event is on at the time) that they have to go on Facebook and Twitter several times to let everyone know that they don’t care. As if WE care. But, like I said, those grumpy, bitchy, whiny people always hate everything. You expect it. Or you should anyway. <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal">What I’m talking about are people who ask me if I liked, say, the show “Friends.” I will say “No, I never found it all that funny.” It’s amazing how often people take that as a personal attack. Almost a “HOW DARE YOU?!” <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal">Art, like beauty is subjective. We have our likes and dislikes and sometimes we like things that are very popular. Sometimes we like things that result in being mocked by our friends. People constantly criticize me for being a Miley Cyrus fan. I can’t help it. She pisses people off and I find it hilarious mostly because they can seem to explain WHY they’re so pissed at her. <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal">I’ve actually met people who don’t like “The Godfather” movies. No really! And I’ve met people who didn’t like “Goodfellas.” I worry about these people sometimes, but I respect their opinion no matter how messed up it is. I’ve also met people who think “The Bill Engval Show” was hilarious. Again, that’s a bit whack, but okay. <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal">The weirdest thing to me is when people apply this crazy attitude to sports. I don’t get why they think I should be a fan of their team and are hurt when I’m not. Seriously, there are people out there who are genuinely personally hurt and offended when I don’t root for their team, when they’re playing MY team. That said, something may soon be unleashed (again). 1999 and 2007 weren't enough warnings?<br /><br />It is yet another ugly chart, but what's new? As a retiree, I'm generally a risk-off kind of guy, and that's got risk written all over it.<br /><br />1. Profit margins will stay permanently elevated?<br />2. ZIRP is guaranteed to work long-term?<br />3. The business cycle is dead so it's nothing but up from here?<br />4. There aren't any itchy trigger fingers hovering over sell buttons?<br />5. The Fed knows exactly what it is doing?<br />6. We can continue to borrow our way to prosperity forever?<br />7. America can never have too many restaurants?<br />8. The rise in Internet commerce won't <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/shopping-malls-are-going-extinct-2014-1">hurt malls irreparably</a>?<br /><br /><div style="color: red;"><i>About 15% of U.S. malls will fail or be converted into non-retail space within the next 10 years, according to Green Street Advisors, a real estate and REIT analytics firm. That's an increase from less than two years ago, when the firm predicted 10% of malls would fail or be converted.</i></div><br />It takes a great deal of faith and/or hubris to answer a resounding "yes" to all those questions. I don't have enough faith to answer yes to any of them.<br /><br />This is not investment advice, but damn. In fact everyone has their reason for being pissed. I'm sure Renee has her reasons too. All I know is, if I were Renee, I would not want to sit down with those SOUTH Philly chicks under an circumstances because of the issues she has had with each of them. Frankly, I would want to sit down to a meal with Ang or Drita either. It seemed to me that Ang and Drita left Renee on her own and didn't have her back all season long. Drita recently told a media source that she doesn't consider herself Renee's friend, they are co-workers. Drita claims she was Jenn's friend and Renee was her older sister, that's it. I guess I had a different impression the past three seasons?<br /><br />On a side note, I read Drita was having a Grand Opening for her new store. I am a little confused. Wasn't her new store already open to the public? How long does it take to open a small store? Can this be the second store that she mentioned in Vegas? You know how you always see or hear about all these damn shootings all over the place but they are always somewhere way the heck away?<br /><br />Now I can say that we have had <b>TWO in TWO DAYS!!</b>. Both of which were less than five miles from here, one about two miles, actually. Neither of these were Gang Banger shootings either, one was a pissed off worker that shot his boss and himself and the other was some lady went bang bang at the local Veterans Affairs campus. I need to see how badly Uncle Sam is going to screw me on taxes first. <br /><br />I also see that I am going to have to do the legwork.<br /><br />The wife is adamant about staying in Vancouver and I am just as adamant that I have had enough of the crime here.<br /><br />I do the legwork, we move to where I find a place we can afford to live.
