To sleep...or not to sleep?
That is the question.
I work days. I work full-time. I have many extracurriculars in which I am involved.
Meanwhile, the Winter Olympics are starting. On the other side of the world. Because of this, many important events are going to be taking place in the wee hours of the morning, or as I am at work.
Do I stay up and watch them? Do I go to bed at 7pm so I can wake up at 3:30 to watch the final of a speed skating event online? Do I ignore everything and just tune in to NBC’s afternoon, evening, and latenight coverage? Do I ignore ESPN for 18 days? (This most likely is a “yes” since they spoil everything and don’t show any highlights.)
I guess what I’ll end up doing is keeping my ear to the ground. If I find out that an intriguing matchup or event is taking place, I might try to watch it online. Otherwise I’ll stick to the NBC coverage, which I’m sure will make them very happy.
A nice thing is that NBC will feature “Gold Zone,” which will show gold medal events exclusively. I am not that into the Olympics that I would watch all the qualifications. I think I’ll be watching this one a lot!
I will try to not spoil anything for you. My normal structure (for those of you who are not familiar) is a main blurb, which takes up four or five paragraphs, followed by smaller blurbs of a paragraph or two. These get posted at night, so everything will have aired by then.
Of course, if anyone would like to be my unpaid sub for two weeks, I can guarantee the best Olympic coverage possible!
