Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Indians have agreed to terms with outfielder David Murphy on a two-year contract that will pay him more than $10 million.

Murphy, 32, is coming off a disappointing 2013 season for the Rangers in which he hit just .220/.282/.374 with 13 home runs in 142 games. However, from 2008, when Murphy became a near-regular, through 2012 he batted 283/.346/.449 (108 OPS+) and averaged 18 homers and 31 doubles per 162 games played. Murphy's depressed BABIP from last season suggests he's a strong rebound candidate for 2014.

The lefty-batting Murphy also owns a career OPS of .816 against right-handed pitching and in Cleveland is likely to form a productive platoon with Ryan Raburn.
