Job Title: Opto-mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Fulltime
Job description:
Activities will include working with cross functional groups to define subsystem specifications, design, analyze, prototype and test to these specifications, work with vendors to manufacture the subsystems, and support the roll out of the product into manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about hard technical challenges; will be very strong hands on engineer.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of value includes:
1.Precision opto-mechanical design
2.Dimensional stability: materials and structures
3.Vibration control, measurement, analysis, etc.
4.Stress analysis / modal analysis
5.Thermal analysis
6.Precision mechanisms
7.Micro-contamination control
8.Experimental methods and data acquisition, LabView preferred
9.Semiconductor equipment industry
10.3D CAD, SolidWorks preferred
11.FEA – static, dynamic, thermal
12.CFD – flow patterns, recirculation, heat transfer
Must work well in a matrixed environment, have good communication skills, and work well in a team. She/he will be expected to contribute with some direction from other technical staff but must be a self-starter. As experience is gained, the candidate will be expected to support manufacturing and the field during product introductions and provide sustaining help as needed after product release. Some travel is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
Or
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
