In a new video feature, Morgan Jeffery of Digital Spy has chatted to cast members and creatives of Doctor Who as well as fans in an attempt to discover why the show has survived for 50 years.
David Tennant, interviewed with Matt Smith, gives his theory. He says, "I wonder if part of the key to its longevity is that the basic format is unchanged. Really, a viewer in 1963 could turn on and watch Matt’s next episode…they’d be surprised about some of the things about it but they’d recognise the show."
Other interviewees include Steven Moffat and Karen Gillan.
