It's a cold morning to start with most areas at or below freezing. A lot of the more rural areas well north and west of the city as well as interior New Jersey are in the middle 20's as of 7 AM, where temperatures are a few degrees warmer closer to the city and the Delaware River. For instance, Philadelphia is at 33 (its low for the morning) and areas along the river are around 30 degrees.
High Pressure in place today with lots of sunshine. The High is situated over southern Quebec near Montreal. This will provide a north to northeasterly flow through the day. The High will slowly move east and off the coast of New England by tomorrow. It will also be less windy. Highs today will be cold for early November with lower to middle 40's in northern most areas and upper 40's to around 50 in the city and points south.
Warmer air will move in for tomorrow and Wednesday.
