Position: Applications Development Engineer

Duration: Full time

Job Description:
Position is in the Reflective Electron Beam Lithography (REBL) group under the CTO's office.  REBL is an R&D group tasked with developing a next-generation electron beam lithography system for high volume manufacturing at the 16nm HP device node.

Responsibilities:
As a member of the REBL Applications Engineering team, hire's responsibilities will include:
• Designing lithography experiments for the REBL system, operating the system, troubleshooting issues, analyzing results, and preparing and presenting reports
• Developing and documenting procedures for system operation, wafer resist development, and other processes used in REBL system operation.
• Supporting marketing, systems, software, and optics team by providing technical results and running experiments
• Testing REBL software releases and evaluating fitness for release to customers
• Remote and on-site support of our customers and partners using REBL technology:  respond to customer requests and perform complex problem diagnosis and problem resolution.
• Do training for customers and less-experienced members of REBL

Preferred Qualifications:
• Semiconductor industry applications or systems engineering experience, especially related to electron beam systems and/or lithography systems
• Detailed knowledge of lithography techniques, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and semiconductor devices
• Strong systems troubleshooting skills
• Experience designing, running, analyzing, and reporting experiments
• Customer-facing experience with strong presentation and written communications skills
• Experience managing projects at customer sites
• Ability to travel 20-30%

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
OR
Doctorate (Academic)
