Job Title: Staff Research Scientist
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Fulltime

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
The individual work on experimental benches to understand the optical effects of DUV, VUV and EUV contamination and induced damage as it relates to the optical system performance.   Requires understanding of the inspection sensitivity and optical performance metrics.  He or she would be expected to develop UHV/EUV benches and testing apparatus and design experiments and run experimental trials that involve high end optical data collection or other physical measurements.  The individual will acquire, analyze and present data and provide recommendations.  This person may sit in design reviews and work closely with the optics and mechanical engineers to provide guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:
1.Ph.D. that involves deep knowledge of Physics, Optics, and Physical Chemistry  is required.  The successful candidate will have a proven record of designing highly complex experiments or engineering trials that involve sophisticated data collection and other physical measurements.  The candidate must have high proficiency in analytical data analysis and demonstrate the ability to extract clear results from large, complex data sets.  Programming skills with MATLAB or COMSOL Multiphysics  is highly desirable.
2.Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
3.Other desired skills: EUV, UHV, Surface Science, XPS, ToF-SIMS, Ion chromatography, MATLAB, COMSOL Multiphysics, LabView

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 2 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
