Tomorrow night, David Tennant and company take to the stage in Stratford-upon-Avon for the first preview of the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Richard II. To get you in a Shakespearean mood, our countdown clip today features David reading one of the Bard’s 154 sonnets.

The clip is one of the exclusive performances of all 154 Shakespeare sonnets included in the Touch Press iPad app The Sonnets by William Shakespeare, which was released last year. The interactive digital edition boasts a star-studded cast including David, Sir Patrick Stewart, Jemma Redgrave, Stephen Fry and Simon Russell Beale,who read the poems directly to camera. The app also includes Arden notes, an alternative commentary and a view of a facsimile 1609 edition.
