Idol Album Sales Hold Steady with Top Seller, on it's 68th week released?

But that title now belongs to an album released in May 2012 which has now sold over 1.5 million copies, "Blown Away" by Carrie Underwood, jumping from <a href="http://www.carriefans.com/forums/carrie-underwood-chart-talk/157572-weekly-album-tracks-sales-week-68-blown-away-era.html">#71 to #44 on its 68th week</a> out. The release of her new <a href="http://www.amazon.com/The-Blown-Away-Tour-LIVE/dp/B00D3UOE7O">DVD of the Blown Away tour</a> helped give that album quite a big sales boost. To show her staying power, the original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson keeps her greatest hits album in the Top 100 for its 39th week, at #99. Lee's "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Frames-Deluxe-Lee-Dewyze/dp/B00DUGPDDA">Frames</a>" album. I think Phillip will regain the title of "top album selling Idol of the week" until the following week when Mandisa's "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Overcomer-Mandisa/dp/B00DRIMVK4/ref=zg_bs_173429_5">Overcomer</a>" (which was officially released today) should pass him up.<br /><br />More interesting number will appear in October when Season 12 winner Candice Glover's "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Music-Speaks-Candice-Glover/dp/B00CTX6EUG/">Music Speaks</a>" is released on October 8 and <a href="http://www.scottymccreery.com/">Scotty McCreery</a>'s "See You Tonight" is released on October 15. With <a href="http://www.mjsbigblog.com/scotty-mccreery-reveals-sophomore-album-cover-art-title.htm">Scotty's album title and cover art finally released</a> and his single holding very steady around #40 on the country chart, I am guessing his promotion is gearing up to start pushing his album.
