Lamar Odom could be back in the NBA soon. (USATSI)After a tumultuous offseason, Lamar Odom could be back in the NBA soon.
According to ESPN.com, Odom met with the Clippers on Friday for two hours with the meeting said to have been more about checking in rather than hashing out a deal. However, according to the report, while no deal is imminent, both sides are interested in getting something done.
The source said Friday night: 'I wouldn't say a deal [with the Clippers] is imminent, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen.'

Odom has been working out for the past month, sources said, with an eye toward making a return to the floor in the second half of the season. But he's said to be ahead of schedule in terms of getting back into basketball shape, which appears to have accelerated the timetable.
The Lakers are also reportedly monitoring the progress of Odom as well.
Odom, 33, had a rocky summer than included a DUI charge and suspicion of drug use.
Odom played last season for the Clippers appearing in all 82 games averaging 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds.
