The Mirror have told of the extreme weather conditions that David Tennant and his fellow cast members encountered while filming scenes for The Escape Artist. Part of the tense legal thriller was filmed in Edinburgh in February in snow and sub-zero temperatures.
An insider from then set reports how David was given silk thermals to wear beneath his suit and hot water bottles for inside the lining, while between takes he wore moon boots and mittens.
“He never complained once though – he was a complete professional,” they said.
The Escape Artist stars David Tennant as a talented junior barrister with a talent for securing acquittals in even the most hopeless of cases. However, when he takes on the case of Liam Foyle (Toby Kebbell), a detached outsider accused of a brutal murder, his charmed life is suddenly torn apart. Other cast members include Sophie Okonedo, Ashley Jensen, Anton Lesser and Tony Gardner. The three part series was written by David Wolstencroft.
