Vice Provost for University Libraries - University of Connecticut (UConn), one of the nation's leading public research universities, seeks applications for the position of Vice Provost for University Libraries. The Vice Provost will be a leader who effectively articulates the Libraries' mission with respect to the University's long-term goals, and who inspires Libraries' staff to provide resources, spaces, and services that optimally serve the university community now and into the future. The individual chosen for this position will have a clear understanding of both the challenges and the opportunities inherent in the rapidly changing landscape of academic libraries and higher education today. The University of Connecticut system includes a main campus in Storrs, CT, where this position is located, five regional campuses throughout the state, a Law School, and Medical and Dental Schools at its Health Center. UConn's 14 schools and colleges offer 8 undergraduate degrees in 102 majors, 17 graduate degrees in 88 fields of study, and 5 professional graduate programs. In 2011-2012, 5,149 bachelor's, 1,573 master's, 341 Ph.D., 234 J.D./LL.M., 94 Pharm.D., 87 M.D., and 47 D.D.S. degrees were awarded.
