Information Services Librarian - Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Full Time Information Services Librarian. JOB SUMMARY: The Information Services Librarian will possess general knowledge of library processes and services, including the following; a strong customer service commitment by responding to the needs of the Post University community; competencies with technologies including personal computer applications and integrated library systems; ability to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete projects; work both independently and as a team member; effectively communicate in both oral and written form. Main responsibilities will include providing research assistance and advance practices in information literacy, cataloging digital and print resources, and maintaining Post University’s government document and law library collection. Schedule includes nights and weekend hours. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Master's degree or higher in library science, or library and information science from an American Library Association accredited college or university required. Two years experience in academic LRC preferred. 1-2 years of supervisory experience required. Reference and technical experience required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, multi-media applications such as Flash jive, aminto, wikis, and other multimedia authoring tools, Ebscohost, the iCONN Digital Library and Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe. Other database knowledge desirable. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse population. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task. Must be able to work in a team oriented, objected focused.
