Job Title: Sr. Optical Design Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Fulltime
Job Description:
The Surfscan Division specializes in developing unpatterned wafer surface inspection tool that provides the sensitivity and throughput required for qualification of current and next-generation wafer substrates, as well as qualification and monitoring of process tools.
This position is with the Surfscan Division Optical Development Engineering Group, which facilitates the specification, design, and integration of new products.
Responsibilities:
Construct complex systems models having all critical parameters needed to produce accurate and efficient models of illumination beam shape and size, focal depth, polarization, and transmission is required.
Perform illumination system modeling, simulation of 2D phase grating/diffraction efficiency as a function of illumination spot shape and size as well as the effects of background wavefront errors and other coherent noise artifacts and beam depolarization is highly desirable.
