So by the time I was done with my zit I got dressed and hit the gym for a measly 15 minute run. Now I know that it better than nothing at all, but I am a little disappointed with myself, especially to do that on a wi day nonetheless!
Anyway...enough of that!
My breakfast this morning was my "old faithful" oatmeal and an apple for 3 points. I don't know if I'll ever get sick of eating oatmeal and fruit in the morning!
My mid morning snack was WW yogurt with 1/4 c grape nuts for 2 points. MMmmm!!
Around 11am today I got a call from DH asking of I had his car keys in my purse. (I drove it yesterday) and lo and behold, I did...eeekkk!! And he was supposed to be at work at 10am!! Oh no!! He didn't seem too upset though. We aren't having good luck with cars lately...silly us!
I planned to take a late lunch to get the keys to DH when he was finished with his shift so around 1pm I had a small banana for 1 point. I headed home for lunch and handed over DH's keys! I felt so bad!! I didn't want to eat too much because I knew wi was only a few hours away. So I made some cauliflower with ff cheese and peeled an orange for 2 points.
After work I headed to ww. I had mixed feelings, I wasn't sure what to expect on the scale. Sometimes the ww scale is higher than mine at home, sometimes it's lower. So I hopped on the scale and it said 167.2...was happy with that. That means I lost 2.6lbs this week and 34.4 total for ww! I hope to cross the 35 lb mark at ww next week! Our leader was talking about tracking a lot tonight and if you're tired of tracking to try the "Simply Filling Plan". Well I am definitely not sick of tracking...I think I enjoy it. But I really want to focus on eating more "filling foods"!
After the meeting I headed home and got to work making supper. I wanted to make corn chowder, but sadly my only three potatoes were in pretty sad shape. So I went to my other new recipe I wanted to make and had chicken teriyaki with broccoli for 5 points. While that was cooking a snacked on a few reduced fat ritz crackers for 3 points. I am not sure if I made the chicken teriyaki right 'cause it was just "ok"...I like it more "saucy"! So I'll try something a little different next time!
Here is the recipe from the WW website:
Chicken Teriyaki with Broccoli
POINTS® Value: 5 - Servings: 4 Preparation Time: 20 min - Cooking Time: 13 min Level of Difficulty: Easy |
We paired this Japanese favorite with a side of broccoli for a burst of color and a huge nutrient boost. Grab some chopsticks and dig in. |

Instructions
- Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and set pan over medium-high heat. When hot, add garlic; cook, stirring, about 1 minute. Add chicken; cook until golden brown on all sides, stirring often, about 5 minutes.
- Add scallions; cook until soft, stirring, about 2 minutes. Add broth and teriyaki sauce; simmer until chicken is cooked through and sauce reduces slightly, about 5 minutes.
- Spoon 1/2 cup of cooked rice into each of 4 shallow bowls; spoon about 1 cup of chicken mixture and 1/2 cup of broccoli over each serving.
While watching the Biggest Loser I had my dessert, a ww fudge bar for 1 point.
Well I have 6 points l/o for the and I am TOTALLY FULL from my "filling" supper so I think I am not going to eat them. Hopefully I don't wake up famished!!
