Records show that Kim Jong-il had treated himself to luxuries adding up to an average of $300 million a year. <br /><br />The imports included dozens of high-end Mercedes-Benz vehicles and musical instruments, including dozens of top-quality pianos. The report did not examine how the items were imported into North Korea, which is ostensibly under strict UN sanctions designed to halt the transfer of "luxury goods" to the regime. <br /><br /><b><a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/northkorea/10648300/Kim-Jong-un-out-spending-extravagant-father-UN-report.html">Read more</a></b> ....<br /><br /><b>My Comment:</b> All of these luxury goods go through shell companies in China .... and the Chinese government turns a blind eye to it all. Cut this flow .... and Kim Jung-un's lifestyle may change very quickly .... and not (for him) the best. Unfortunately .... I doubt that China implement such sanctions.
