Jan. 7: Intelligence (CBS, Mondays at 10 ET/PT after tonight's preview): Josh Holloway (Lost) stars as a man with a chip in his brain (if not on his shoulder) in this crime drama also featuring the return of Marg Helgenberger (CSI). Killer Women(ABC, Tuesdays at 10 ET/PT) centers on the lone female Texas Ranger (Tricia Helfer). Justified (FX, Tuesdays at 10 ET/PT) returns as marshal Raylan Givens(Timothy Olyphant) battles the Crowes, a Florida crime family bent on infiltrating Harlan. And Being Mary Jane (BET, Tuesdays at 10 ET/PT) follows the life and loves of an Atlanta news anchor (Gabrielle Union).
Jan 8: Chicago PD (NBC, Wednesdays at 10 ET/PT). This series from the team behind Chicago Fire, focuses on the detectives and uniformed cops of the Chicago Police Department's District 21.
Jan. 9: The Spoils of Babylon (IFC, Thursdays at 10 ET/PT): Will Ferrell is author/producer/director Eric Jonrosh in this parody of 1970s miniseries also starringTobey Maguire, Kristen Wiig and Tim Robbins.
Jan. 10: Enlisted (Fox, Fridays at 8:30 ET/PT): Sitcom about three brothers on a Florida military base; Helix (Syfy, Fridays at 10 ET/PT), a new series from producer Ron Moore (Battlestar Galactica) set at an Arctic research facility infected by a rapidly spreading virus; Banshee (Cinemax, Fridays at 10 ET/PT) is back for a third season.
Jan. 12:True Detective (HBO. Sundays at 9 ET/PT): Matthew McConaughey andWoody Harrelson star as Louisiana detectives tracking a cold-case serial killer in this eight-episode series, which shifts between 1995 and 2012; Lena Dunham's Girls(HBO, Sundays at 10 ET/PT) returns for a third season. Also back for more: Showtime's Shameless (Sundays at 9 ET/PT), House of Lies (Sundays at 10 ET/PT) and Episodes (Sundays at 10:30 ET/PT).
Jan. 13: Archer (FX, Mondays at 10 ET/PT), the animated spy comedy; and Chozen(FX, Mondays at 10:30 ET/PT), a new animated series about a gay white rapper (Bobby Moynihan) just out of prison.
Jan. 15: American Idol (Fox, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 ET/PT): The granddaddy of singing competitions returns for a 13th season with another new judges' panel of newcomer Harry Connick Jr., holdover Keith Urban and the returning Jennifer Lopez. Duck Dynasty (A&E, Wednesdays at 9 ET/PT). This wildly popular reality series following the outspoken Robertson duck-caller clan returns. AndSuburgatory (ABC, Wednesdays at 8:30 ET/PT) has its third-season premiere.
Jan. 16: Under the Gunn (Lifetime, Thursdays at 9 ET/PT): Project Runway mentor Tim Gunn hosts over his own fashion-design competition.
Jan. 17: Cloud 9 (Disney Channel, Friday at 8 ET/PT), the tween network's latest original movie, follows a pair of snowboarders who must battle self-doubt to achieve victory.
Jan. 19: The Following (Fox, Mondays at 9 ET/PT after a Sunday preview at 10 ET/7 PT); Former FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) begins to suspect that serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) isn't dead after all when a new attack is triggered.Sherlock (PBS, Sundays at 10 ET/PT); Looking (HBO, Sundays at 10:30 ET/PT), a dramedy that follows three gay men in San Francisco at different stages in their relationships.
Jan. 20-22: Klondike (Discovery, Mondays 9 ET/PT) The non-fiction channel's first scripted miniseries follows two childhood best friends in the late 1890s as they head for the gold rush capital in the Yukon Territory.
Jan. 23: Rake (Fox, Thursdays at 9 ET/PT): Greg Kinnear stars as a down-on-his-luck lawyer with a gambling problem in this new drama.
Jan. 25: Black Sails (Starz, Saturdays, 9 ET/PT) Captain Flint controls New Providence Island in 1715, the golden age of piracy.
Feb. 2: Super Bowl XLVIII (Fox, 6:20 ET/3:20 PT), from East Rutherford, N.J., followed by special episodes of New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Feb. 7-23: Winter Olympics (NBC and sibling cable networks). The winter games, from Sochi, Russia, will dominate TV for more than two weeks.
Feb. 9: The Walking Dead (AMC, Sundays at 9 ET/PT): The zombie smash returns for the second half of its fourth season.
Feb. 14:House of Cards (Netflix). The 13-episode second season of this Emmy-nominated drama arrives, all at once, as Rep. Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) continues his quest for political power.
Feb. 17: The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC, weekdays at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT, after Jay Leno leaves Feb. 6); Star-Crossed (CW, Mondays at 8 ET/PT); An alien species called Atrians has arrived on Earth and their teens are integrating with humans at a local high school.
Feb. 24: The third season marks the first since the demise of J.R. Ewing (and the death of actor Larry Hagman); Late Night With Seth Meyers (NBC, weeknights at 12:35 a.m. ET/PT), replacing Fallon; The Voice (NBC, Mondays at 8 ET/PT, Tuesdays at 9 ET/PT); Dallas (TNT, Mondays at 9 ET/PT).
Feb. 26: Mixology (ABC, Wednesdays at 9:30 ET/PT), the latest attempt to find a worthy companion to Modern Family, follows a group of pals and is set entirely at a bar; The Americans (FX, Wednesdays at 10 ET/PT): Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys return as Russian spies living in suburban Washington in the second season of this 1980s drama.
Feb. 27: Vikings (History, Thursdays, 10 ET/PT) returns for Season 2; Portlandia(IFC, Thursdays, 10 ET/PT) Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein's quirky satire of Portland, Ore.; The Red Road (Sundance, Thursdays at 9 ET/PT), a thriller about a sheriff policing a small town and a nearby Native American reservation.
Feb. 28: Hannibal (NBC, Fridays at 10 ET/PT): A second season of this prequel about Hannibal Lecter (Hugh Dancy) resurfaces on a new night.
Mar. 6:Sirens (USA, Thursdays at 10 ET/PT, following the return of Suits) takes viewers on a ride with three Chicago EMTs, produced by Denis Leary.
Mar. 9: Resurrection (ABC, Sundays at 9 ET/PT): Deceased loved ones start seemingly returning to their families in Arcadia, Mo.
Mar. 11: Mind Games (ABC, Tuesdays at 10 ET/PT): Two brothers run an agency that specializes in using psychological manipulation to solve clients' problems.
