More International Sales Announced For Broadchurch

The latest deals struck include Africa (M-NET), China (Youku), Israel (Hot TV) and Iceland (365 Media). The eight part drama stars David Tennant, Olivia Colman and Arthur Darvill and was created by Chris Chibnall. It explores the impact of the murder of a young boy on a small English seaside town.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><i>Broadchurch </i>has already been international acclaim following its UK debut in March this year. So far it has aired the the USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Russia and Sweden. It is currently screening in Latin America, Finland and Belgium and will soon be coming to New Zealand, France, Germany and Spain.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The news was announced at the MIPCOM festival, currently taking place in Cannes</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Filming begins early next year on FOX's own version of <i>Broadchurch </i> for the USA. Chris Chibnall will executive produce and has written the first episode while David Tennant has been confirmed as the lead detective in a role similar to that of DI Hardy. In the UK, Kudos will produce a second series of <i>Broadchurch </i>for ITV with filming beginning next spring.
