<strong>Children's Assistant -</strong> <strong><strong><span style="color: #48286d;">Trumbull Library System</span></strong></strong> seeks an energetic, customer-service focused and responsible individual to join the Children’s Department part-time at the Fairchild-Nichols Memorial Branch Library. The successful candidate will have experience working with children and families and the ability to provide homework help, reader’s advisory and present story times to younger children. Qualifications: Minimum Associate degree. Educational background or prior experience working with pre-school aged children a must. Experience in public library setting a plus. Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and with sensitivity when responding to patron queries. Proficiency using basic office computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, and a working knowledge of information and early literacy principles. Familiarity with digital technology, mobile devices and social media. Specifics: 19 hrs. weekly. One evening and rotating Saturdays. $10.50/hr.
