Job Description:
The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
Responsibilities:
General Product Marketing Manager Responsibilities
Direct the development of company market requirements for service marketing products, including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Develop the Service Product portfolio to maximize profitability after the sale of KLA-Tencor hardware products. Includes pricing, communication, operational considerations, market validation, and strategy.
2. Initiate and develop (in partnership with hardware product division marketing) new service strategies which drive top line growth for the combined service and hardware product P&L, increase overall customer satisfaction, and improve contract penetration.
3. Act as the service division's product expert and liaison with their product division counterpart for all service related initiatives
4. Interface with all regions to ensure the success of service products and mine for additional product opportunities
5. Work with other cross functional GSS groups to ensure consistency of communication and alignment of strategy.
6. Initiate and lead projects to improve the overall service delivery and management process
7. Work with field and service sales to design and analyze negotiation strategies for contract penetration. Includes working directly with customers to develop the best approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing products and roadmaps (4P's of Marketing)
Experience influencing customers and executives
Experience in leading negotiations and closing sales.
Experience with product life cycle processes.
Knowledge of Semiconductor Equipment
Knowledge of KLA-Tencor customers and the Semiconductor Equipment Market
Technical and Business Analytical Capabilities
Excellent Presentation and Communication Skills.
Self Starter
Comfortable working within an environment of ambiguity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
