This week two American Idol winners saw big boosts in their album sales on the Billboard 200 chart as Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" jumped back from #128 to #55 and Phillip Phillip's "The World From The Side of the Moon" jumped from #177 to #93 on the BillBoard album chart. Carrie's album has now been on the chart for 80 weeks, and with this being week #51 for Phillip, next week with give him a full year on the BillBoard 200 chart. The top selling American Idol album this week continues to be Kelly Clarkson's "Wrapped in Red" Christmas album which continues selling strong at #6 on the chart in its second week (43K in sales for 113K in two weeks.) The second best seller is Scotty McCreery's "See You Tonight" which drops to #36 in its fourth week with sales of 9K (92K total.) With that updated total his sales are now actually running slightly behind the sales trend for his "Christmas With Scotty McCreery" album last year (which surprisingly jumped back into the BillBoard 200 chart itself this week.) Hopefully he can get some good holiday promotion with his increased radio presence to help boost his sales to keep up with his own sales from last year!

The other American Idol on the chart is Mandisa's "Overcomer" at #145 in its 11th week. It seems like the only non-winning Idols with any longevity on the album chart for the past year are Christian artists like Mandisa and Colton Dixon.
