I told my aunt that my friends liked her joke the other day and i think she's made it her mission to make all my "little friends" laugh.<br /><br />Really this must be read properly...  Get out your heftiest Italiany Bronx accent and picture it coming from a lady who cannot be an iota taller than 5' and at least 180 years old.<br /><br /><br /><br />A bus stops and two Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in  an animated conversation.<br /><br />The lady sitting behind them ignores them at first, but her attention is  galvanized when she hears one of the men say the following:<br /><br />"Emma come first.  Den I come.  Den two asses come together.  I come once-a-more.  Two asses, they come together again.  I come again and pee twice.  Then I come one lasta time."<br /><br />"You foul-mouthed swine, " retorted the lady indignantly. "In this  country we don't talk about our sex lives in public!"<br /><br />"Hey, coola down lady," said the man.  "Who talkin' abouta sexa? <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Well hello October, where did you come from? Can't believe we're on the down slope of 2013! I sure do love this time of year though!</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Without further ado, here is my recap of my goals last month!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1. workout 3 days/week - nada, zilch, nothing</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2. use My Fitness Pal to track <strong><u>ALL</u></strong> eats everyday - estimating about 80% of my eats tracked</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3. weigh 181 by 9.30.13 - Knocked this one out of the park!</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I'm pretty bummed that I didn't even get one workout in these past 2 weeks. I'm not going to list excuses either. Life is busy, everyone has kids, a house to clean, pets to feed, yada, yada, yada. If you want something bad enough you'll make time for it...bottom line! Monday morning I set my alarm for 4:45am and hit snooze. Oops! I really am just not a morning workout person {espeically while nursing!}. I started out October right though, I got in a 30 minute power walk on my lunch hour today. I think this will be the best time for me to workout. </span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Five out of 7 days of the week I'm on plan, tracking everything that goes in my mouth. Its the weekend that trips me up, specifically Sunday. Sunday is Kyle's cheat day and for some reason I feel the need to cheat along with him. Not necessary! Sunday the 22nd was BAD! MFP told me to just go to bed 'cause I'd eaten such a ridiculous amount of calories {j/k...but it should give me warning messages when I'm stuffing my face on days like that}. This past Sunday wasn't as bad, but I could have done without the ice cream for dessert or that 3rd piece of pizza {promise they were small!}. So still some work to be done in the tracking/eating department. </span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And finally I'm here to tell you, on September 30, 2013 I stepped on the scale and smashed my goal of 181!! Check that out!! That means making something with it, right? So I pulled out my <i>Virginia Hospitality</i> cookbook given to me by my mom in 1978, and looked up the spoonbread recipe to make that Southern favorite for dinner. Yum!</div><br /><b>Spoon Bread</b><br /><br />1 1/2 cups corn meal<br />1 teaspoon sugar<br />1 1/3 teaspoons salt<br />1 1/2 cups boiling water<br />1/4 cup butter<br />5 eggs<br />2 cups milk<br />1 Tablespoon baking powder<br /><br />Preheat oven to 350. Mix corn meal, salt, and sugar together. Scald with boiling water. Add melted butter. Beat eggs; add milk. Combine mixtures. Add baking powder. Pour into oiled 9x13 baking pan and bake 30-40 minutes. That apparently unnerved Klick, because she asked the attorney general if she could keep her records secret. She argued that her dealings with corporate lobbyists could be withheld from the public because of her right to freedom of association and something called "deliberative privilege."<br /><br /><a href="http://www.prwatch.org/news/2013/09/12259/texas-attorney-general-rebuffs-alecs-effort-declare-itself-immune-open-records-la" rel="nofollow">Attorney General Greg Abbott didn't buy it</a>. Neither did the <a href="http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/08/26/5110399/klicks-ties-to-group-should-be.html?rh=1" rel="nofollow">Fort Worth Star-Telegram</a>, which editorialized:<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">...she shouldn’t keep her correspondence a secret. As the preamble to the Texas Public Information Act says, the people delegate authority to make laws, but they “do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know.”</blockquote>Klick isn't the first state lawmaker to stonewall requests for information about ties to ALEC. The <a href="http://www.prwatch.org/news/2013/09/12259/texas-attorney-general-rebuffs-alecs-effort-declare-itself-immune-open-records-la" rel="nofollow">Center for Media and Democracy is suing Wisconsin state Sen. Leah Vukmir</a>, ALEC's treasurer, for hiding documents sent from ALEC to legislators.<br /><br />Another ALEC front, <a href="http://teamsternation.blogspot.com/2013/09/alec-front-man-indicted.html" rel="nofollow">Georgia state Sen. The internet has a visible side and a hidden side. The visible side includes sites that can be found through an ordinary search, while the hidden side, called the darknet, includes sites or networks that cannot be accessed by regular means. As expected, following the AMERICAN warning other Western countries such as GREAT BRITAIN, FRANCE, and GERMANY ordered the closure of various embassies. Several days after, the alert was reported as a response to the monitoring of a conference call among a team of terrorist leaders, including al-Qaeda’s Ayman al-Zawahiri and the heads of its affiliate organizations. It was gradually reported by anonymous intelligence sources that the information was found in the possession of an al-Qaeda courier who had recordings of the call. Minutes of the call were transmitted via the internet, and there was also a seven-hour recording of the entire call. A study published in 2011 reported that the darknet has more than 50,000 sites and 300 forums for terrorist organizations. Moreover, for about a decade, open sources have reported that while global jihadi activists exploit darknet for the purposes noted above, the network is mainly a platform for direct communication among leaders and organization activists. As noted on its homepage, TOR prevents monitoring of websites that users visit, makes it impossible for websites to learn the user’s physical location, and enables users to circumvent internet censorship. Furthermore, TOR prevents identification of website managers who do not wish to be identified.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Cyber defense company CyberHat recently reported a security breach in Mozilla Firefox versions 17 and 22 that resulted in the exposure of users’ identity; Mozilla subsequently confirmed that there had in fact been a breach. In August it became apparent that many other sites in the darknet had been hacked or completely blocked. Several days later, Eric Eoin Marques, who had been exposed as “the largest facilitator of child porn on the planet,” was arrested. </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Apparently, this was a sting operation by the FBI intended to prevent the distribution of child pornography online. According to this hypothesis, US authorities exploited the breach of TOR in order to monitor al-Qaeda officials and the child pornographers, and their exposure by David forced them to act against their targets prematurely because they feared the targets would change their methods of communication following exposure of the breach. </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">This hypothesis also provides a possible explanation for the aggressive UAV attacks initiated by the UNITED STATES in YEMEN around the time of the courier’s arrest, which led to the deaths of thirty-four al-Qaeda activists. Among proponents of online privacy, the darknet looks romantic, a safe arena for underground political discussion. In a world that mourns the death of privacy at the hands of the NSA and the like, the darknet allowed opposition figures, journalists, and separatists to publish information while evading censorship and monitoring. It thus made it possible to diffuse facts and ideas that are not compatible with the interests of authoritarian regimes. However, the recent events have made the public aware that the darknet is not only a platform for political discussions, but also an infrastructure for proliferation of weapons and terrorism, along with drugs and child pornography. Furthermore, given the increasing use of the darknet by jihadis and their ilk, it can now be described as a clear and present danger to the security of citizens around the world. Thus, there is a pressing need to create tools that will prevent terrorist organizations (and criminal elements) from harnessing the darknet for their needs.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";"></span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">In recent years, impressive methods have been developed in the West for monitoring content on the visible web, but there is almost no similar arsenal for the darknet. In order to ensure that the necessary tools are developed for monitoring the internet, it is essential to bring up the evidence indicating that the darknet has been turned into a major infrastructure for global terror. ISRAELI researchers are at the forefront of study of the internet, and therefore, ISRAEL would do well to harness a significant portion of its talents to confront the challenge of darknet. </span> </div>
