BBC Worldwide Australia and New Zealand have announced that the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who will be screened in 3D in cinemas across Australia and New Zealand.
The screenings will take place from Sunday 24th November and will also include specially shot introductions which will also be made available to cinema audiences worldwide.
Sharon Wilson of BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand said, “Doctor Who is a British TV institution and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to screen this very special episode at cinemas nationwide so fans can have the opportunity to enjoy the episode in full 3D.”
Selected Event Cinemas and Hoyts cinemas will screen the special in both Australia and New Zealand as well as a number of other Australian chains and independents, including Village Cinemas and Dendy. Check with your local screen for comfirmation and booking details.
The Day of the Doctorstars Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt. The action packed adventure reveals that the Doctor has a dangerous past. And he’s coming back!
