CNN pulls plug on Hillary Clinton documentary after director backs out
CNN Films has canceled plans to produce a documentary about former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, putting an end to a project that had sparked considerable political controversy.
In a lengthy piece published on the Huffington Post Web site Monday morning, Charles Ferguson, who was slated to direct the project, explained that he felt compelled to shelve it over opposition to the idea from both Clinton allies and opponents, which triggered a widespread lack of cooperation among potential interviewees.
"When I approached people for interviews, I discovered that nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film," writes Ferguson. "Not Democrats, not Republicans — and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons, wants access to the Clintons, or dreams of a position in a Hillary Clinton administration."
Too many skeletons in all those closets.
I'm sure there are several hundred politicians of a certain stripe who would shit their britches if Hillary ever made it back into the Oval Office.
Can you say Whitewater?
Not to mention some chick named Monica who certainly caused no end of heartburn, what with all that impeachment business and the millions of resulting embarrassing jokes.
It doesn't surprise me one bit that no one would even consider putting their names on a list of contributors for that documentary.
I'm sure Hillary is familiar with the old cut and paste feature on a computer.
That would make it easy to come up with a political hit list.
