Former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) sure isn’t trying too hard to hide his feelings toward New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, telling Fox News “Your World” host Neil Cavuto that Christie could “go the way of McCain and Romney.”
The 2012 Republican presidential candidate joined Cavuto to discuss Christie’s big win Tuesday night in the Garden State’s gubernatorial race. Cavuto noted the impact Christie’s re-election has on the 2016 Presidential election, but Paul wasn’t too thrilled with the idea of having the New Jersey Republican on the ticket.
“Well, if he wants to go by the way of McCain and Romney, I guess he can go ahead and do it,” Paul said. “Maybe he can become the nominee. But I think it’ll be the same old stuff again, wishy-washy stuff. Chase all the constitutionalists, limited government libertarians, chase them home. Why vote, you know? So if that’s what he wants to do. I mean, I don’t think New Jersey is a litmus test for the United States of America.”
Cavuto, who lives in New Jersey, attempted to explain to Paul that Christie won big in a blue state — something few Republicans do — and was able to reach out to groups that typically don’t support the Right.
But Paul didn’t back down, saying, “I don’t think that means we all have to be like New Jersey.”
Cavuto didn’t let Paul take another shot at his state, though.

“Careful,” he said. “I live in New Jersey. You go slowly there.”........
