Position: Financial Analyst

Job Description:
The Financial Analyst is a member of the KLA-Tencor Financial Planning & Analysis organization. The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP & A) organization provides support to executives and business leaders throughout the company. Our primary role is to manage the processes that support the company's business decisions; such as forecasting, strategic planning, board of director presentations and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
1) Forecasting and planning – division spending and headcount; Responsible for bi-weekly snapshot and quarterly budget review and involved in annual strategic planning
2) Budget tracking - work closely with division Engineer, Marketing, Applications, and Sales teams on budget tracking, analysis and reporting; approve purchase requisitions according to division spend budget
3) Accounting – own the division’s engineering, demo, and other internal inventory, handle month-end and quarter-end financial close and balance sheet reconciliation
4) Reporting – monthly and quarterly management reporting with main focus on division expenses, headcount change, open requisition status, assets, and internal inventory
5) Project Management – Be part of the new product introduction team and be responsible for project financial analysis
6) Other ad hoc analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in financial analysis. Experience in expenses management with a global manufacturing company is highly desired
• Good understanding of GAAP and Financial Planning & Analysis concepts
• Attention to details and has the discipline to meet deadlines with high quality work
• Self-driven and motivated to invest time to learn best practice. Willing to continue improving existing processes
• Strong analytical skills in financial analysis and technical skills in Excel modeling, Excel PowerPoint, SAP, TM1
• Results driven
• Able to work independently and proactively
• Strong communication skills and team work skills. Able to discuss issues with other finance personnel as well as business partners
• Ability to adapt to changes within a fast paced working environment
• Experiences that are not mandatory, but highly desired: cost accounting & cost of service
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
