Job Title: Information systems Analyst
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Fulltime
Job Description:
1. Understand the decision-making process, workflows, and business and information needs of corporate and product division financial analysts and accountants. Translate those business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support decisions and workflows with required information.
2. Coordinate with financial analysts and accountants to understand their information needs and identify ways to visualize and present information in a user-friendly manner
3. Proactively mine data warehouse to identify trends and patterns and generates insights for business units and senior leadership
4. Supports user experience specialists and information architects to enhance information visualization through development of dashboards and user interfaces
5. Works closely with information managers, architects, and business units for knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training and interacts with Information Architects to understand how information is stored, modeled, and tagged
6. Acts as a go-to-person for end users to interpret and use information
7. Develops frameworks and processes to analyze unstructured information collected through investment analyst reports, traditional sources such as e-mail and SharePoint and social media platforms i.e., wikis, blogs, instant messaging, etc.
8. Assists in implementing planning applications.
Desired Skills & Experience:
1. Masters Degree in management information systems, finance
2. More than five years of experience as a financial analyst, business intelligence analysis, statistician, or equivalent roles
3. Experience in supporting Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis processes including Budgeting, Forecasting, and Variance Analysis. Administrator level experience in TM-1.
4. Experience with Cognos planning or Hyperion Essbase or TM-1
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree in finance or accounting with three to five years of experience as a data financial analyst.
2. Experience in using and developing with planning applications including TM-1 or Cognos planning or Hyperion Essbase.
