Only Two American Idols Have Albums on BillBoard 200

It has been a long time since only two American Idols have had albums on the BillBoard 200 album chart. In fact the last time was the week before Carrie Underwood released "Blown Away" back in May 2012 and the two albums were Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and Scotty McCreery's "Clear as Day". Now nearly two years later the only two Idols on the chart are again Scotty (this time with "See You Tonight" at #160) and Daughtry with "Baptized" at #90. Scotty's latest has sold another 3K units this week to bring his total to 195K. With his title track single preparing to break into the top 10 on country radio the album will definitely break through 200K and hopefully reach 250K eventually, probably after the second single from the album is released.

A week from Tuesday marks the release of "Music Speaks" by Candice Glover. HitsDailyDouble should have some estimates of its sales pretty quickly, so it will be interesting to see how well it sells.
