Job Title: Field Applications Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Fulltime

Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA-Tencor Candela products for customers in the North American Territory Organization.
1) Interface with new and existing customers to provide operations training as well as resolve complex problems and determine actions required to resolve problems.
2)  Respond to customer requests and provide the high quality support with effective communication
3) Work with sales and marketing to investigate customer requirements, competitive situations and changes in market conditions
4) Proactively engage with existing and potential customers to understand their particular challenges work with divisions to provide a solution to address their challenges and provide a positive customer experience

Preferred Qualifications:
1) PHD or MS / BS with at least 3-5 years’ experience of Semiconductor / LED / MEMS manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering applications
2) >2 years of KT relative tool set knowledge/experience is preferred
3) Independent worker, self-driven.  Ability to set priorities and delegate tasks during critical situations where multiple issues must be handled simultaneously
4) Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
5) Ability to travel with short notice, some overseas travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.

Ability to travel at least 75%
