Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Full time

Job Description:
Responsible for providing technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems and/or complex software. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. Technical Support Engineer 3: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires a evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
           
Preferred Qualifications:
Education or experience in integrated circuit manufacturing.
Deeper understanding of each of the previous areas, plus:
- Expertise in testing techniques.
- Previous experience in evaluating and testing new application technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to foresee problems and propose solutions prior to releasing any new application.
- Ability to set priorities and delegate tasks during critical situations where multiple issues must be handled simultaneously.
- Good presentation skills.
- Demonstrated skills in conceptualizing creative technical solutions and documenting them.

Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of experience supporting high tech equipment with an Associate degree or 6 years Military experience in electronics or related fields.
- Understands and relates standard engineering principles, concepts and techniques to immediate work assignments.
- Proficient in the English language.
- Proficient in computer applications for data presentation and analysis.
- Ability to effectively convey ideas through oral and written communications.
- Ability to multitask in a constantly changing work environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3-5 years of experience
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 2-4 years of experience
