Position: Accountant
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Full time
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
1) Perform GL monthly close duties including but not limited to recording standard/accrual journal entries, account reconciliation, run revaluation and perform allocations.
2) Take full ownership of worldwide consolidation over 30 legal entities including translation, various types of
eliminations, and loading manual entities.
3) Ability to detect certain consolidation errors and provide solution to fix the underlining issue.
4) Perform Data validation to ensure accuracy and quality of data between FI, PCA, & Consolidation.
5) Full ownership of GL master data creation and hierarchy maintenance.
6) Perform key Sox controls related to General ledger and consolidation.
7) Work closely with project implementation team to perform testing, training, and documentation of new
processes.
8) Identify process improvement opportunities and develop solutions to improve operational efficiency.
9) Prepare business functional specification for new SAP reports, Perform testing and validation on the report in
QA before moving to production.
10) Prepare and maintain proper documentation and records of accounting / financial reporting process.
Preferred Qualifications:
1) SAP/Oracle experience in consolidation and General Ledger preferred.
2) This position requires both accounting and technical knowledge.
3) Advanced analytical and critical skill to troubleshoot and identify potential gaps in new or current process.
4) Strong communication skills and ability to translate end user needs into IT solutions.
5) Strong leadership to manage small improvement projects which involve cross functional teams.
6) Advance Excel Skills and ability to work with large data sets is a must.7) Flexible with ad hoc requests in global corporate environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
Minimums of 5 yrs of experience in GL/consolidation, or equivalent.
