Responsible for the design and strategic direction for KLA-Tencor corporate and field voice and call center applications/unified collaboration applications and mobile devices.
Engineering Responsibilities:
Lead Unified Communications engineer part of a team responsible to provide core technical expertise for Unified Communications infrastructure across Global KLA Tencor landscape. Successful candidate will develop strong partnerships with the Operations, Architecture, Engagement Managers and Deployment teams, develop innovative solutions or improvements that will result in enhancements to current methods, procedures and processes.

Lead Unified Communications engineer part of a team responsible to provide core technical expertise for Unified Communications infrastructure across Global KLA Tencor landscape. Successful candidate will develop strong partnerships with the Operations, Architecture, Engagement Managers and Deployment teams, develop innovative solutions or improvements that will result in enhancements to current methods, procedures and processes.
1. Service Ownership for Unified Communications infrastructure across global landscape.
2. Demonstrate technical leadership and domain authority in at least two of the below technologies:
a) Microsoft Lync/Exchange.
b) M & Presence, Session Controllers, Cloud services, exchange backend
c) Mobile Device Management (Eg: MobileIron)
d) BES architecture, MobileIron package creation & deployment, Active Sync architecture, certificate management.
e) Cisco VOIP, Video/Audio collaboration
f) SIP Architecture, Cisco VOIP, Video/Audio collaboration
g) SIP Architecture, Global DialPlan, Unity architecture / SIP & VCS architecture with regards to interoperability, WebEx
h) Global DialPlan, Unity architecture / SIP & VCS architecture with regards to interoperability, WebEx
3. Manage the outcome per SLA from Managed Service Provider teams responsible for Telecom production support.
4. Partner with Architecture team to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions to align with business needs.
5. Performs Unified Communications infrastructure design, performance tuning and optimization as required across the global landscape.
6. Participate in IT strategic planning and budget preparation.
Engineering Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive and detailed Unified Communications designs.
2. Create detailed technical documentation and diagrams including, but not limited to:
a. Client system documentation
b. Deployment templates and best practices guidelines.
c. Support documentation
d. End user training and documentation
Mandatory Qualifications:
Must include Microsoft/IM and Service Management experience.
Must have experience w/Lync and interoperability with other platforms.
Must have experience with Cisco/Tandberg Video Conference Solutions and architecture in a global environment
Other platform experience may be sufficient (i.e. Polycom, Lifesize).
Preferred Qualifications :
•Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection and Cisco Unity in large, enterprise deployments with multiple nodes desired
•Experience with WebEx site administration desired
•Strong understanding of emerging technologies, standards, and best practices for mobile infrastructure, and mobile device management.
•Understanding of exchange 2010
•Experience with Microsoft LYNC and CUCM integration desired
•Experience with Microsoft LYNC and Cisco/Tandberg SIP integration desired
•Experience in leading or managing cross functional teams in a matrix organization (projects)
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Project Management/PLCM experience
•ITILv3 certification or experience in working with ITILv3 Methodology, PMP certification or project management experience.
Business acumen:
Excellent Written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels using metrics and data.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience
OR
Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience.
