Position: Software QA Engineer
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: Full time

Job Description:
We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with experience in testing software in Windows environments. The software quality engineer will be a member of our data analysis software engineering team working on challenging problems in the semiconductor production domain. The product environment includes mathematical data analysis algorithms, graphical data representation and user interfaces, database storage and management, real-time data processing and programming interfaces. Key attributes of the successful candidate are being a self-starter, problem solver, collaborative team player, and high productivity contributor.  

Responsibilities include:
1) Write test plans and test cases for data analysis software product, including windows applications, database servers and APIs
2) Verify compliance with software requirements and general product usability
3) Automated and manual test execution using standard SQA practices.
4) Manage result verification activities by special contributors, such as scientists or other experts.
5) Verification of fixed defects.
6) Mentor other SQA engineers

Education and/or experience desired:
1) BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other technical field.
2) 2+ years of professional experience in SQA testing.
3) Intimate understanding of software quality assurance processes, including writing of test plans and use of defect tracking systems.
4) Experience with Windows operating systems, experience with Linux a plus.
5) Strong skills in scripting languages, such as Visual Basic or Perl.
6) Experience with automated test tools.
7) Experience with Microsoft .Net platform, Visual Studio development tools and C# or C++ programming languages preferred.
8) Knowledge of software development lifecycle and build/release of commercial software.
9) Experience in semiconductor industry a plus.

Basic Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other technical field with 2+ years of professional experience in SQA testing.
