Now that Kristen O'Connor was not so surprisingly
eliminated from Season 13 of American Idol, the
Bovada odds on the remaining twelve contestants have been updated. With Malaya Watson and MK Nobilette landing in the Bottom 3 with Kristen, they now have the highest odds at 25/1 and 20/1 respectively. If we look at the three week trends we can see how the odds have been changing on the contestants:
Sam Woolf has seen his position as the favorite solidify with his odds going down every week. As resident cute, young, white guy (with guitar) he has a lot going for him. Majesty York and Alex Preston seem to be fighting it out for the 2 and 3 positions. The middle section of Caleb Johnson, Jess Meuse, Jena Asciutto, Ben Briley and CJ Harris are probably safe for a few weeks, but they need to step it up to make it into the Final 3. Dexter Roberts has kept his odds consistent at 14/1 all three weeks, but he needs to find a way to stand out more if he wants to survive. Many people thought he would be in the Bottom 3 last week, and his not being there has kept his odds from falling. The biggest drop was for MK who few people were expecting to be in the Bottom 3. Her fan base must not be as strong as people thought, so she needs to improve and draw in more fans if she wants to survive (hint number one: drop the baseball hat!) And lastly now is Malaya Watson who is now the long shot at 25/1.
