Job Title: Legal counsel
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Fulltime
Job description:
Responsibilities:
1.Review, draft and negotiate sales and service agreements, procurement contracts, and confidentiality / non-disclosure agreements on a daily basis
2.Negotiate agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance
3.Respond promptly to legal requests from Procurement, IT, HR, the Global Customer Organization, the Global Service and Support organization and other clients, summarizing and communicating legal concepts that business people can use
4.Advise business clients on the legal issues and risks, approval processes, company policies and procedures, and negotiation strategy
5.Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes
6.Provide training to clients on various matters related to legal obligations and compliance
7.Some travel to international offices
Preferred Qualifications:
1.Ability to partner in initiatives and policies that influence all aspects of the business
2.Good business judgment, and the ability to understand and evaluate legal and business risk
3.Intellectually curious
4.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
Minimum Qualifications:
JD
3+ years of demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Motivated team player and collaborator
Ability to work with diverse a client base, including clients in international locations
Strong English communication skills, both verbally and in writing
