Position: Revenue Manager
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Full time
Job Description:
This position reports into a central Corporate Revenue Group, managing systems revenue recognition activities for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Review contracts and purchase orders for potential revenue recognition issues and compliance with internal policies and US GAAP
• Prepare Fair Value analysis of volume purchase agreements/bundle negotiations to determine revenue impact
• Prepare quarterly management reports including revenue analysis and reconciliations.
• Provide ongoing guidance and training to cross-functional organizations throughout the company, including divisional finance, regional/divisional sales teams, sales operations and marketing on revenue recognition rules and current best practices
• Assist with Company's initiative for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance by maintaining required documentation and coordinating the testing of Revenue cycle
• Work with external and internal auditors to provide information required to complete the quarterly/annual audits.
• Assist with financial due diligence, acquisition integration activities, and certain sections of 10-Q and 10-K filings related to revenue
• Prepare and present company-wide revenue results at quarter end to external auditors
• Special ad hoc projects
• Some travel may be required for regional training
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA/MBA is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience with large to medium public company and/or Big 4
• Ability to recognize revenue recognition issues in contracts and purchase orders
• Knowledge of ASC 605, ASC 605-25, ASC 985-605 and other accounting rules relating to revenue recognition.
• Demonstrate ability to effectively work with all levels within a company, including executive management
• Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, collaborative and influencing skills.
• Strong Excel and modeling skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
