Job Title: Sr Controls Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Fulltime

Job description:
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a member of a team developing the control electronics subsystem of an advanced wafer inspection system. The subsystem includes multi-axis controllers driving a complex mix of sensors and actuators of various types.  The candidate will be responsible for all design related aspects of the subsystem including cable and PCB design, prototype test and debug, subsystem integration, test and ECO release.  In this role they will work closely with mechanical, manufacturing and reliability engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be experienced in the following areas:
1.Stepper and servo motor control design
2.Galil (or similar) controller programming
3.Cable design
4.PCB Design using OrCAD schematic capture
5.Prototype PCB test and test fixture set up
6.Electrical/Mechanical subsystem integration, test and troubleshooting
7.ECO release and documentation
8.Writing manufacturing/service documentation and provide training

The successful candidate must also have the following:
1.Strong written and verbal communications skills
2.Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and with a team
3.The ability to multi-task
4.A desire to expand his/her knowledge through self-study and training
5.Strong troubleshooting skills

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 2 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
