Have you taken a look around the Partners in Learning Network lately? It's FULL of the most incredible resources - free tools, learning activities for the classroom, tutorials, discussions, resources, professional development opportunities galore, opportunities to gain badges, networking opportunities, etc. No wonder Microsoft is wanting all teachers everywhere to see what is there and to join the network - all free. They have a great prize on offer if you join before June 3. The teacher or ICT coordinator who refers the most people to the Partners in Learning Network before 3 June 2013 will win a trip to the SchoolNet SA ICT in the Classroom conference happening in Bloemfontein in July 2013. We would really encourage you to join this network and to take advantage of developing yourself professionally. You'll really enjoy using its resources.
Let's start with the Microsoft Free Tools...
There are more than 30 free technology tools available on the network, all free to download. If you would like to access the free Microsoft Learning Suite tools – including Songsmith, AutoCollage, Mouse Mischief, StickSorter, Kodu, Worldwide Telescope and many more - join the Microsoft Partners in Learning Network on this link (http://www.pil-network.com/). Not only does this portal provide access to tools that teachers can use to enhance their lessons, it also gives tutorials on how to use the tools and examples of Learning Activities where teachers have shared their lesson plans using the tools and integrating them into the lesson.
Enter Microsoft's Partner's in Learning Forum via the Partners in Learning Network
The Partners in Learning Forum is a competition open to all teachers. (It used to be called the Microsoft Innovtive Teacher competition). If you have used technology in a creative way in your classroom, upload your Learning Activity to the Partners in Learning Network by Monday 3 June 2013 and you may be selected and sponsored to attend the 2013 South Africa and Lesotho Partners in Learning Forum which will be held in Bloemfontein on 1 July 2013 as well as the SchoolNetSA ICT in the Classroom Conference which follows the event.
