Library Associate - Groton Public Library is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Library Associate. Skills and knowledge required would usually be acquired with a Library Technical Assistant Degree and one year of public library experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, responding to patron requests for information and assistance under the guidance of a Librarian; supporting and facilitating library adult, teen, and children’s programming; providing assistance with technology to patrons in both one-on-one and classroom settings; assisting with library marketing; cross-training at both circulation and information desks to fulfill duties as assigned. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with the public. This position reports to the Manager of Library Public Services; full time, 35 hours/week, evenings and Saturdays included. $21.25/hr.
