Position: Test Engineer 
Location: Milpitas, CA 
Duration: Full time 
 
Job Description: 
Set-up, calibrate, test and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments, opto-mechanical assemblies, and/or vacuum systems. Operate advanced systems with lasers, vacuum and plasma components . Test and report results of test of circuits through the complete column. Design and test automation software/hardware for platform operation. Prepare tests and diagnostic programs; gather, prepare and present performance data; complete specifications and procedures for new products. Provide feedback to design engineers to improve design of optical assemblies, mechanical assemblies or modify test with engineering change to product. Aid design engineers with test fixture approvals by testing production optical assemblies, mechanical assemblies or boards prior to official release to production.

Positions may require a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related field, followed by five years of progressive work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in an engineering -related occupation. 

Education or experience may include: 
1)Instrumentation, analog/digital circuits, power supplies, electro-mechanical assemblies;
2) Laboratory test equipment design, development, verification and operation; 
3) Computer-based test, measurement & automation; LabVIEW software development; 
4) Test plans development for hardware/software, data acquisition, analysis & presentation; 
5) UHV Vacuum and plasma systems. 

Basic Qualification: 
Associate degree with at least 7 years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
