Final submission of projects need to be submitted by April. </span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">• Participate in program evaluation activities: each educator must complete a pre-program (start of online course), post-training (end of online course), post-program (upon submitting end of year work). Returning educators (those trained in previous years) who are not taking the online course, but will continue participating in AYV, should fill out a pre-program survey and a post-program survey. Well I hope, and anyhoo…<br /><br />Y’know folks?<br /><br />This past Sunday on the IWS Radio Show which featured <a href="http://www.blogtalkradio.com/im-with-stupid/2013/08/18/bad-poetry-in-motion" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">bad poetry and Mexican-Americans</span></a> who get turned on by chicks who can sound like a man, Jayman and I put on one helluva two hour internet radio show.<br /><br />Some of the hilarity and professional type radio brilliance came from Jayman and I; however, much of it came from our hardworking IWS Radio team.<br /><br />People such as…<br /><br />Bobby Kraft…Guy Ahnyurdyck…Dixie Ozark…Slyder Balzcock…Kirk Douglas…Paul Piatt, and of course, the man with no first name…Rev. Questions and no answers

Is it really a HoH I want? Or am I just craving submission in general?  Does it matter who I'm submitting to?  Do I even want to submit to my husband?   Do I trust him to lead my family?  Or does my family need me to lead?  Am I insane to think I can step down from my job as reluctant HoH?<br /><br />Do I really want DD with my husband?  Or is it that I just need to be spanked on a regular basis?  Do I want the spanking because of an infraction of some sort?  Is it something I actually did wrong like being bitchy?  Or is it for something completely made up like wearing the wrong panties? <br /><br />Do I actually think a good spanking and a hug will set me on a path to be a better person?  Or am I just wanting more frequent/longer/harder spankings from my husband that lead to other things?  Or do I want to join the dark side with other like-minded people and get what I need (non-sexually) that way?  And if that's what it is, will that physical action bring the settled feelings I think it will?<br /><br />I crave those couple days to a week after really intense dominating sex.  It's not the post-orgasmic endorphiny gooey friendlier than usual the next day thing.  It's different. Walmart warehouse workers get justice and a huge raise

About 75 temporary workers got permanent jobs at a Walmart-controlled warehouse in Riverside, Calif., as a result of a federal lawsuit alleging massive wage theft by the giant retailer and its contractors. The permanent jobs come with a 60 percent wage increase, health benefits and paid sick time.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.warehouseworkersunited.org/warehouse-workers-win-60-percent-raise-plus-benefits/" rel="nofollow">Warehouse Workers United</a> tells us warehouse workers filed a class-action lawsuit in federal court nearly two years ago to recover back pay, penalties and damages. They claim Walmart-contracted warehouses forced them to work off the clock, denied them overtime pay, and retaliated when they stood up for their rights. U.S. District Court Judge Christina Snyder ruled <a href="http://teamsternation.blogspot.com/2013/01/woot-wal-mart-to-be-added-to-wage-theft.html" rel="nofollow">Walmart could be added to the suit as a defendant</a>.<br /><br />It is unclear how, exactly, the lawsuit led to the 75 workers getting full-time jobs and raises. What is clear is that two of the contractors, Schneider Logistics and Rogers-Premier Unloading Services,<a href="http://www.warehouseworkersunited.org/breaking-news-warehouse-workers-win-support-from-federal-court-on-retaliation/" rel="nofollow"> tried to fire every single worker in retaliation for bringing suit</a>. The workers, who actually worked for temp agency Impact Logistics, got a restraining order in February against the companies.<br /><br />Five months earlier, the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement raided the warehouses in October and fined them more than $1 million for inadequate recordkeeping alone.<br /><br />According to Warehouse Workers United, the workers were offered full-time jobs with Schneider. They are about to get raises. Said warehouse worker Reynaldo Rios Ibanez<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">I haven’t received my first paycheck just yet, but it will be about double. It means it will be easier to take care of my family. Before I could not buy one single extra thing.</blockquote>Guadalupe Palma, director of Warehouse Workers United, said:<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">This demonstrates that the minute the staffing agencies were forced to comply with the law they began losing money because they could no longer cut corners. But the fact that now all workers at this critical Walmart-contracted warehouses will make a living wage with benefits shows that improving the quality of warehousing jobs is entirely within reach for major retailers like Walmart.</blockquote>The Riverside workers aren't the only ones fighting for a living wage against Walmart contractors. the diagnosis is in......

I know many have been wondering what's going on with the health this last week.  Until I got a firm answer from the physician, I wanted to wait to talk about what's up.<br /><br />About 5 years ago, I was diagnosed with a liver hemangioma.  It's usually something that is not a bother or to be treated - just a benign tumor like thing made up of blood vessles, etc.  But the problem is, where "henry" (as I have called it for years) is located.  It sometimes causes flare ups with my entire digestive system.<br /><br />This time, the fare up landed me in the ER about 2 weeks ago.  It was nothing I experienced before in terms of pain and over all feeling creapy.  I went to see my specialist who ordered a cat scan just to be sure.  Although those results are not back (I had it on Friday), the other tests done (ultrasound, etc) did show that I have a fatty liver.  It's the non-alcoholic fatty liver.  I am not surprised by the years of eating crap and I have had high cholestoral for at least 3 years.  My doctor said that just with what was reported with the ultrasound, she felt like that alone would have caused my symptoms.  The other thing that is complicating all of this more is my weight loss.  I've lost a lot of weight in a short time.  So, that again by itself could cause the flare up.<br /><br />Mix all three together, I was a mess.  The good news is, I am feeling almost 100 percent and I feel that I can get back on track.  I had a week derailment and fortunately, it's not Belviq related.  With the blessing of my physician, I can get back on track and go strong.<br /><br />I probably will have continued flare ups here and there - it's to be expected.  I just need to manage it better and not let myself get to the point I did.  I'm not very good at taking care of myself so this was a big lesson in "listen to your body".  <br /><br />The doctor still wants to do an endoscope (and we did have it scheduled but I cancelled at the last minute because I live alone with no family in Houston and could not figure out arrangements to get me there and home).  I will see how it goes first and then reschedule if need be.<br /><br />Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.<br /><br />XOXOX<br />Ellie

But your mammogram looks a little funny, or your PSA test is a little high, or you get a CT lung scan and a nodule shows up. You get a biopsy, and the doctor delivers the bad news: You have cancer. Because you don't want to die, you agree to be sliced up and irradiated. Then, fortunately, you're pronounced a "cancer survivor." You're glad they caught it early.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">But maybe you went through all that pain for nothing.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">For decades, the reigning theory has been that the earlier a cancer is spotted and treated, the less likely it is to be lethal, because it won't have time to grow and spread. It seems safer to treat someone who doesn't really need it than to miss something potentially fatal. If anything, emphasizing early detection misdirects research and funding. "We have to come up with better treatments, we have to figure out who's really at risk for those and figure out how to prevent them," she says. "We're not going to fix it with screening."</span></p><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">There are plenty of scientific unknowns. Take the commonly diagnosed breast cancer called ductal carcinoma in situ, which accounts for about a third of new U.S. diagnoses, 60,000 a year. In these cases, the cells lining the walls of milk ducts look like cancer, but they haven't invaded the surrounding breast tissue. DCIS was a rare diagnosis before the introduction of mammograms, which are highly sensitive to milk-duct calcifications, and the JAMA article labels it a "premalignant condition" that shouldn't even be called cancer. Arguably, a lot of women who think of themselves as "breast cancer survivors" have survived treatment, not cancer.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Yet oncologists who identify DCIS have been surgically removing it (and in many cases the entire surrounding breast) for 40 years, so it's hard to know how dangerous it actually is. "Since we really don't know the true natural history of DCIS we do not know if DCIS always progresses to invasive cancer or not," says <a href="http://www.radnet.ucla.edu/radweb/sections/breast/news/Wells.jsp" title="Open Web Site" rel="external" density="full" target="_blank" style="outline: none; font-weight: bold; border-top-left-radius: 5px; border-top-right-radius: 5px; border-bottom-right-radius: 5px; border-bottom-left-radius: 5px; padding: 0px 2px; text-align: center; ">Colin Wells</a>, a radiologist at the University of California at <a href="http://mobile.bloomberg.com/topics/los-angeles/" density="sparse" style="outline: none; font-weight: bold; border-top-left-radius: 5px; border-top-right-radius: 5px; border-bottom-right-radius: 5px; border-bottom-left-radius: 5px; padding: 0px 2px; text-align: center; ">Los Angeles</a>specializing in breast imaging. "There are some reasons to think not, but this needs to be worked out" with further research. If DCIS does spread to invade breast tissue, the question remains whether that cancer threatens to go beyond the breast, becoming lethal if untreated.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">By contrast, we do know that a lot of prostate cancer isn't dangerous. Autopsy studies show it's quite common in older men who die from unrelated causes. "Out there in the street, if you remove the prostates in men over the age of 50, 30 to 40 percent would have some kind of cancer," Carroll says, "most likely, low grade and low volume."</span></p><h2 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 2px; "><font size="3"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Distinguishing Tumors</span></font></h2><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Thanks to more sensitive tests, he notes, the prostate "cancers we're detecting today are totally different than the cancers we saw two decades ago. And our ability to distinguish these tumors is much better. We have the wherewithal now to be able to tell a patient that your cancer is highly likely confined to your prostate, of small volume, slow growing, and something that may not need immediate treatment at all."</span></p><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Carroll has more than 1,000 patients under "active surveillance," getting regular PSA tests, imaging and biopsies. Only about one in three turns out to need treatment within five to 10 years. (An additional 10 percent opt for surgery simply because they get tired of all the tests or can't take the anxiety.) The program is also working, Carroll says, to "decrease the burden of testing," ideally by eliminating the need for repeated biopsies.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 10px 10px 0px; "><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Prostate cancer illustrates the cultural barriers to abandoning what Esserman calls today's "scorched earth policy." Someone doesn't develop "cancer" but, rather, "a cancer." Scotty did so with his debut album "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Clear-As-Day-Scotty-McCreery/dp/B0052TDGQO">Clear As Day</a>" which stayed in the Top 100 for 35 weeks and the Top 200 for 41 weeks, and Phillip is having similar resiliency with "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/World-From-Side-Phillip-Phillips/dp/B009NPA3MS/">The World From the Side of the Moon</a>" which on its 38th week <a href="http://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200?page=2">moves up to #57</a> from #61 last week. Even though his album has not quite matched the impressive total sales numbers that Scotty did, it is approaching the one million plateau and has been a very good sales leader for Interscope. I wish him well but do not expect the greatest sales numbers from his release. Next week sees a more successful Idol alum release an album, as <a href="http://www.mandisaofficial.com/">Mandisa</a> will release "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Overcomer-Mandisa/dp/B00DRIMVK4">Overcomer</a>", which is likely to enter at #1 on the Christian album chart, and fairly well on the BillBoard chart as well. Just like with volleyball, Foosball requires your hand-eye coordination to be top notch. Once you have acquired these skills, you are ready to play volleyball.<br /> <br /> Make a schedule if there are issues with you following through on your fitness routine. Make a plan and stick to it, incorporating a goal of working out at specific times and a predetermined number of days every week. Schedule a make-up day if you have to miss a workout.<br /> <br /> m. workout It is a bit easier to wake up just 15-20 minutes earlier. Use those minutes to walk, jump rope or do an easy aerobic workout. This will cause your day to start off in the right way and you will be able to forge health traits that you can build up on over time.<br /> <br /> Always test padding on a workout bench before you begin, by pressing firmly with your fingers on the cushion. If the wood can be felt under the padding, choose a machine that has more padding. A machine that does not offer proper padding is bound to be extremely uncomfortable during your workout session.<br /> <br /> Know the right sit-up form to get the most from this simple exercise. Buy a Swiss ball and place it under the small of your back to get the most out of your sit-ups. It not advisable to use the anchored-feet position when you do sit-ups. This can cause too much stress to your lower back.<br /> <br /> It is critical that you stretch as part of your fitness regimen. You should start and end your workout with stretches that prepare your muscles for more intensive exercise. An injury could be a result from inadequate strectching. Stretching muscles helps to prepare them for a workout yet relaxes them from that workout, as well.<br /> <br /> A fit lifestyle might feel challenging, but it is also quite enjoyable. Incorporate the tips from this article into your current fitness program. Approach fitness as something you have to do every day to be successful.
