Candidate must be strong technically to be able to deliver detailed presentations to the customer. On a hijacked airplane heading toward Washington, D.C., possibly targeting the White House or the Capitol building, and with the knowledge of what had already occurred that morning with the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, passengers took matters into their own hands.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.nps.gov/flni/historyculture/index.htm">Ordinary citizens became heroes</a> in their attempt to overtake the Muslum terrorists who had pirated the plane, and crashed it into the countryside of southwestern Pennsylvania. <br /><br />I have written before of my special connection to Flight 93. My sister, a member of the George W. Bush administration, was at work in the White House that day. If Flight 93 had hit Washington as had happened in New York City and Arlington's Pentagon, our family could have been one of the many mourning a lost one.<br /><br />On the tenth anniversary of that tragic day, the crash site outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania, <a href="http://www.nps.gov/flni/planyourvisit/september-11-2011-weekend.htm">was formally dedicated</a> as a permanent reminder of the courage and spirit of the Flight 93 heroes. President George W. Bush, in office only nine months when 9/11 happened, unexpectedly became a wartime president that day with a determination to protect the American people. He and Mrs. Bush attended the 2011 commemorative events, met with the families, and took part in the ceremony.<br /><br /><a href="http://swacgirl.blogspot.com/2011/09/remembering-passengers-and-crew-of.html">Forty extraordinary Americans</a> ... my family will forever be grateful to the men and women of Flight 93 and their families for the heroism and sacrifice made that day.<br /><br />Flight 93 had <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/national/911/index.html">heroes</a> on board....<br /><br /><b>Todd Beamer - "Let's roll!"</b><br />The 32-year-old Oracle Corp. account manager from Cranbury, N.J., was believed to have helped lead a passenger attack on Flight 93 hijackers that prevented the jet from reaching its target, possibly the White House. Beamer spoke to a GTE operator on the plane's phone. His final words -- "Are you guys ready? Let's roll!" -- have become a rallying cry for the war against terrorism. Beamer and his wife, Lisa, had two sons. His daughter, Morgan, was born in January of 2002. Beamer played baseball and basketball in college and loved coaching youth sports. President Bush, in an address to the nation, praised Beamer as "an exceptional man." Today, the Todd M. Beamer Foundation aims to help kids deal with trauma and learn how to make choices.<br /><br /><b>Thomas E. Burnett Jr. </b><br />Burnett called his wife, Deena, to tell her about the Flight 93 hijacking and said he and other passengers were "going to do something about it." Burnett, 38, of San Ramon, Calif., was senior vice president and chief operating officer of Thoratec Corp., a medical research and development company. His wife and three daughters moved to Arkansas afterwards to be closer to her parents. The new Thomas Burnett Family Foundation plans to provide endowments for children's bereavement camps and leadership scholarships at selected universities.<br /><br /><b>Jeremy Glick </b><br />Glick called his wife, Lyz, after terrorists took over Flight 93. She patched the call to a 911 dispatcher, who told Glick about earlier attacks in New York. Glick told his wife some passengers had taken a vote, and "We're going to rush the hijackers." Glick, 31, of West Milford, N.J., had been a collegiate judo champion at the University of Rochester. His older sister, Jennifer, is president of <i>Jeremy's Heroes</i> foundation which is devoted to helping people build character through sports. Highlights of the FBC Lindale Ergun Caner Presentation

Last night First Baptist Church of Lindale (TX) hosted a James White presentation on the Ergun Caner scandal and what White calls the "Great Evangelical Cover-Up".<br /><br />White not only laid out clearly the decade long deceit of Ergun Caner, but he also explained in length how he himself became involved in the controversy. Fully understanding White's interest and purpose in helping expose the Caner scandal is quite helpful to anyone who might question the validity of White's claims concerning Caner. <br /><br />At the bottom is the entire 2+ hour presentation. If you don't want to listen to the entire presentation, here are some highlights:<br /><br /><b>1. Pastor Tom Buck's Opening Comments</b><br /><br />For those of you who have followed the Ergun Caner saga over the last 3 years, I highly recommend listening to FBC Lindale's pastors comments on the video that start at the 17:00 mark of the video, and end at the 25:00 mark. It is very significant to finally hear a Southern Baptist pastor call out Caner for his deception and fabrications.<br /><br />In his comments, Buck explains why he hosted the event. He expresses his concern over the "fabrications" of Ergun Caner, and the removal of videos and bios as a part of the Great Evangelical Coverup. He expresses concern over Caner's latest Tweets categorically denying the charges and claiming he has been exonerated. <br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b>"It saddens me....that there are so many who have participated in the cover-up of this. And so tonight really is an interest in the pursuit of truth....I think this is an important issue to be addressed, has nothing to do with reformed theology, it has to do completely with whether the claims of Dr. Caner are true or not true....I found it also quite proper, or appropriate I should say that Dr. Caner gave his same presentation behind this pulpit, prior to me coming here. Many of the same fabrications were declared directly from here. So I think its quite appropriate to examine these in one of the places he stood." Tom Buck, 9/10/13</b></i></div><br />So my hat is off to Tom Buck for being as far as I know, the only SBC pastor to stand publicly and call for Caner to admit to his lies and deceptions. It is too bad that there are not 100s of SBC pastors who have the same concern Buck has for the integrity of his profession and his convention and for the Christian message they proclaim.<br /><br /><b>2. Caner's "Opening Statement" - 2006 Sermon from Thomas Road Baptist Church</b><br /><br />I think White made a very wise decision in opening his presentation by playing a 10 minute excerpt of Caner's testimony that Caner delivered in a sermon back in 2006 at Thomas Road Baptist Church, with Jerry Falwell sitting behind him on the platform. I don't think I've ever seen this sermon before - and it shows that even in that very large venue Caner was not truthful about his background. This starts at the 32:00 minute mark of the video.<br /><br />Caner has the same phony Arabic-sounding dialect as he preaches, declaring that he came as a missionary.<br /><br />This sermon reminds me much of Caner's 2001 sermon in Jacksonville, with Jerry Vines sitting right behind him.<br /><br /><b>3. White's Response to a Question at the End</b><br /><br />One of the most important parts of the presentation I think, that points to the opportunistic nature of Caner and the motives for his decade of deceit, is White's excellent response to a question about what brought Caner to his prominence? White absolutely nails it:<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b>"Before 9/11, he was 'Butch Caner'. He just went by the name Butch. Very shortly, I'm not sure of the date, was it First Baptist Jacksonville?...shortly after 9/11 all of a sudden he is asked to speak at a very, very large Baptist church, and this story starts to develop. And because of the fact that it was post 9/11, I mean all of us are sitting around going 'How and why did they do this?'  Here comes someone who says 'I was trained in this, I know this, it's my background, I'm a Christian now.' And there was a real thirst for that. He's not the only one who's done this, by the way, in the sense of cashing in on the hysteria and unfortunately ignorance on the part of many Christians....and that's why he still gets to travel and do the things he does."</b></i></div><br />Yes, Butch Caner became "Ergun Mehmet Caner" after 9/11 and with the help of the likes of Jerry Vines and Jerry Falwell Caner became an instant hit as gullible Christians (myself included) were seeking to make sense of the events of 9/11 in the context of our Christian faith. This is precisely why I was originally involved in this controversy on my blog - because myself and my family and extended family were present in that <a href="http://fbcjaxwatchdog.blogspot.com/2010/03/ergun-caners-november-2001-fbc-jax.html" target="_blank">First Baptist Jacksonville sermon</a> that launched Caner to stardom, as my pastor Jerry Vines nodded approvingly on the platform as Caner deceived Vines' entire congregation that day. No one was aware of the struggle going on inside that aircraft as passengers, aware of terrorism attacks earlier that morning, vowed to storm the cockpit and avoid whatever disaster the terrorist pilots had in mind.<br /><br />The White House was evacuated at 9:45. Employees were urgently directed by Secret Service to leave the building and, as the evacuation was under way, it was stepped up as shouts told them to get away from the White House and Old Executive Office Building as fast as they could. Women took off their shoes and ran in their stocking feet out the White House grounds and onto the street and down the sidewalk. One of them was my sister.<br /><br />Flight 93 would go down at 10:06 a.m. taking the brave souls with it who prevented further national tragedy. May we <a href="http://swacgirl.blogspot.com/2008/09/heroes-of-flight-93-lets-roll.html">never forget the herorism</a> of those on Flight 93.<br /><br />9/11/2001 ... may we never forget.

The new standards call for teachers to use Project Based Learning (PBL) in which students undertake projects from the beginning design stages, through construction and, finally, to completion. PBL also calls for multidiscipline learning, where students integrate multiple subjects into the project. This new PBL thing sounds a lot like a WILD School Site to me. So what are WILD School Sites? The sites function within the premise that every school, regardless of size and location, can provide outdoor educational opportunities that can and should be part of any integrated education program. The first thing to do when developing a site is to formulate a plan. You can contact your <a href="http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Home/ContactUsStandIn/tabid/18270/Default.aspx" target="_blank">district Wildlife Communication Specialist</a>, who can walk you through the process to help ensure success.<o:p></o:p></span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Projects can be as simple as adding perching posts or feeding stations for birds, or more involved like butterfly and rain gardens. Even extremely large projects like ponds and wetlands have been installed by some schools. Size, whether large or small, has no bearing on how useful or beneficial a project is. Even simple projects can have an enormous impact on students when incorporated into lessons. <o:p></o:p></span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br /><h4>So, how do WILD School Sites fit into PBL?<o:p></o:p></h4><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">WILD School Sites are projects in which students, teachers and the community work together toward designing, building and implementing an outdoor learning area. To be effective, there must be a plan. Suggestions for conducting habitat evaluations can be obtained from your local Wildlife Communication Specialist. Students can then research various projects and design an overall plan for the site, including a budget and a timeline. This plan should then be presented to the school administration, other students and faculty as well as the community. <o:p></o:p></span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">After the plan has been reviewed, and possibly adjusted, it can be implemented. It is important that students play a role in the site construction. Try to incorporate as many students, grades and faculty as possible to help ensure a long-lasting project. The more people you involve, the more ownership they will take of the project.<o:p></o:p></span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br /><h4>Do WILD School Sites fit into other areas of the new standards?<o:p></o:p></h4><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><br /><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Absolutely! Although Project WILD and WILD School Sites are directly referenced in the Model Curriculum for Science, teachers from other disciplines can also utilize the area. WILD School Sites also fit well into math, language arts and social studies. Bush, 2001</div><br /><b>8:46 a.m.</b> It began with first one tower and then the other of the  World Trade Center hit by commercial airliners. America was under attack. <br /><br /><br />It has been twelve years since the worst terrorist attacks ever on American soil on September 11, 2001, a beautiful morning in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York City. Most can remember where they were when they heard the news of commercial airplanes hijacked by al-Qaeda terrorists hitting the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and crashing into a Pennsylvania field on its way to destroy the U.S. Capitol or White House in D.C.<br /><br />Twelve years later the emotions are still raw for those who were affected by that day. While the memory has faded for some and a younger generation was too little for it to be significant, others will never forget. <br /><br /><b>On September 11, 2001, terrorists killed 3,030 people and 2,337 were injured.</b> The oldest victim was 85 years old; the youngest was two years old and on her way to Disneyland.<br /><br /><b>Those 3,030 lost souls were from more than 90 nations; most were Americans.</b> Sadly, 3,051 children lost a parent while 1,609 adults lost a spouse or partner.<br /><br /><b>New York City lost 343 firefighters and paramedics, and 75 NYPD officers  perished.</b> The ones who survived have deep emotional memories of that day. <br /><br /><b>Over 20 percent of Americans knew someone who was hurt or killed on 9/11.</b> The resulting fires at the World Trade Center burned until December, 99 days after the attacks. More than 300 firefighters went on leave from respiratory problems as of January 2002; more have had problems in the years since. Clearing the sites involved removing 1,506,124 tons of debris.<br /><br /><b>The Pentagon, one of the most secure buildings in the world, was hit </b>by hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 resulting in 124 deaths and 76 injuries at the Pentagon in addition to the loss of 64 passengers on the plane.<br /><br /><b>United Airlines Flight 93 spiraled into the ground outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania,</b> taking with it 40 souls who fought back and prevented additional national tragedy when the plane did not reach Washington, DC.<br /><br /><b>President George W. Bush addressed the nation that night and promised to protect the American people and hunt down those responsible,</b> saying, "Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings,  but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter  steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve."<br /><br /><div align="left"><b>Today thank a military member, firefighter, police officer, and other First Responders</b> ... say a prayer for those who were lost and their families ... educate the younger generation so they will be alert to this always-present danger ... and never forget.<br /><br /><b>9/11/2001: May we never forget.</b></div>
