<div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img src="http://images.ftw.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Screen-Shot-2013-11-17-at-1.03.34-PM.png" width="600"/><br /><p>LeSean McCoy showed up at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday wearing a Raiders vest, so it only stood to reason that the Philadelphia Eagles running back would be imbued with that old school Raiders sense of disrepute.</p><br /><p>Prior to the big divisional game against the Washington Redskins, McCoy ripped a Redskins flag away from a fan near the tunnel to the locker room.</p><br /><img src="http://images.ftw.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/mccoyflagthief.gif" width="600"/><br /><p>That's pretty shady, Shady. It's the Eagles fans, not the players, who are stereotypically supposed to act like boors.</p><br /><p>The Eagles came out with the same tenacious attitude on the field, to less-than-stellar results. On the first play from scrimmage, defensive end Fletcher Cox made an unnecessary shove on Robert Griffin III after the quarterback stepped out of bounds, earning a 15-yard personal foul.</p><br />(Thanks to SB Nation for the GIF.)</div>

<div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img src="http://s1.reutersmedia.net/resources/r/?m=02&d=20131117&t=2&i=812638300&w=460&fh=&fw=&ll=&pl=&r=CBRE9AG1GWX00" width="600"/><br /><p>Credit: Reuters/Jason Reed</p><br /><p>U.S. Federal Reserve Vice Chair Janet Yellen testifies during a Senate Banking Committee confirmation hearing on her nomination to be the next chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve, on Capitol Hill in Washington November 14, 2013.</p><br /><p>So when she signaled in congressional testimony last week that the U.S. economy was still in need of easy money, it was more than a throwaway line to please vetting senators worried about their voters' lack of jobs.</p><br /><p>Yellen was using her clout to highlight the two main characteristics of the world economy: Recovery in America and elsewhere is not yet durable. And there is no fear that inflation will demand an end to the ultra-low interest rates and money-printing being used to sustain what growth there is.</p><br /><p>This week's economic data drop touches on both sides of this equation - U.S. consumer inflation for October is reported on Wednesday and preliminary purchasing managers' indexes (PMI) for both the euro zone and the United States are out a day later, along with Philadelphia Fed's November business index.</p><br /><p>Inflation's amazing disappearing act is rising to the top of the agenda in many economies. Fears of Japan-style deflation are premature but recent slides have at the very least raised policymakers' interest.</p><br /><p>A plunge in euro zone inflation to just 0.7 percent in October prompted the European Central Bank to deliver a surprise interest rate cut, though not with unanimous support from its members.</p><br /><p>The bank targets at or slightly below 2 percent as the level it considers inflation healthy, and the economy is still moribund.</p><br /><p>Other non-euro countries in the region are reporting much the same on inflation. Poland's is running at 0.8 percent, Sweden had a month of falling prices, and even Britain's relatively high cost-of-living unexpectedly dropped to 2.2 percent year-on-year in October.</p><br /><p>Although the U.S. consumer price index figures to be released this week are not the ones the Fed targets, they may point to inflation shrinkage as well.</p><br /><p>The early consensus is for October CPI to show no increase month-on-month from September, when the annual rise was 1.2 percent. Some analysts even predict a fall in prices for the month.</p><br /><p>The Fed targets either side of 2 percent for inflation. It favors the PCE, or personal consumption expenditure, index, which tends to run slightly lower than CPI. It was up just 0.9 percent in the 12 months through September.</p><br /><p>'We are not seeing any upward inflation pressures - generally the opposite,' said Sarah Hewin, Standard Chartered Bank's head of economic research for Europe.</p><br /><p>FRAGILE GROWTH</p><br /><p>The immediate fallout from any sign of diminishing U.S. inflation would be further to boost expectations that the Fed will delay any slowing of its quantitative easing (QE) asset-buying program.</p><br /><p>Yellen has already fed this expectation at her confirmation hearing. Falling inflation would mean the QE money-printing might even be useful to ward off any deflation threat, on top of pumping up the economy.</p><br /><p>This, in turn, will provide some succor to emerging markets - particularly those with high current account deficits - that have seen their currencies clobbered as the prospect of U.S. stimulus ending has pulled cash out of their economies.</p><br /><p>India, Indonesia and Turkey have been particularly hard hit this year.</p><br /><p>Markit's flash PMI indexes are expected to underline the unevenness of economic recovery, particularly in the euro zone.</p><br /><p>Third-quarter gross domestic product released last week showed the euro zone barely growing with No. 2 economy France contracting and No. 1 Germany's pace of growth slowing.</p><br /><p>Analysts at Barclays described the euro zone as undergoing 'a somewhat disappointing recovery'.</p><br /><p>The consensus forecast for the flash euro zone composite PMI, incorporating both manufacturing and services, is for a very slight rise to 52.0 from 51.9 a month earlier.</p><br /><p>That would indicate expansion and be the highest since the middle of 2011. But it is still below its long-term average.</p><br /><p>The U.S. economy is, on the face of it, in better shape. GDP grew at an annual 2.8 percent in the third quarter, albeit boosted by inventories.</p><br /><p>But data has not been not uniformly upbeat. Weekly jobless claims and trade numbers last week showed weaker progress than expected.</p><br /><p>A Reuters poll suggests that the Philly Fed's business index - one of the first looks at November - will fall quite sharply.</p><br /><p>Yellen, meanwhile, has made clear that she sees the economy as below its potential. So, sorry, everyone.</p><br /><p>That said, if it were actually revealed as a dream, we've wanted it to happen exactly like this video, where Hal from Malcolm In the Middle wakes up from a terrible nightmare. Not only is a treat to see Cranston reprise the role he was previously best-known for, but his descriptions of the show are hilarious.</p><br /><p>'There was this guy who never spoke, who just rang a bell the whole time,' Hal babbles. ‘Yeezus’ Resurrected as Kanye West Resumes Tour in Philadelphia [ BeritaTerkini ]

<h2>Rapper picks up where he left off with a fiery, confident performance</h2> <div class="body"> <p>Kanye West’s <em>Yeezus</em> tour resumed last night in Philadelphia, bouncing back from a series of postponed and canceled dates after stage equipment was damaged in a truck collision. Despite the fact that Philadelphia’s show was the first performance since October 28th, and the first following that string of complications, West took to the stage with energy and confidence. Throughout the two-hour-plus show, he delivered a fiery, dedicated performance.</p> <p></p> <p>Perhaps because the <em>Yeezus</em> show is so structured, including troupes of actors, fireworks and even an exploding mountain, West had little stage banter and didn’t directly address the postponements. However, on an extended version of “Runaway,” which was one of the show’s most moving and revealing moments, West sermonized from an altar (actually a keyboard) that had been brought on stage, speaking about his own struggles and perception of himself.</p> <p></p> <p>Find out Why Kanye West Made Rolling Stone’s List of the New Immortals</p> <p></p> <p>“Anybody that’s a fan [of me] is a fan of themselves,” West declared in the middle of the song. “Anybody that’s a fan can do anything!”</p> <p></p> <p>As the monologue progressed, West touched on a variety of topics. “They don’t want you to be you,” he said of modern radio programmers. He also used an extended metaphor to address his feelings of persecution for stepping outside convention in his art: “If a slave got too strong, and he was talking too loud,” he said, “They’d say . . . We’re gonna put this slave in front of a crowd and whip his ass until ‘<em>what now</em>?!’” </p> <p></p> <p>West’s forceful speech was representative of the show itself. Almost every song found West going all out. On “Coldest Winter,” which West explained was written about his mother’s untimely passing, he lay sprawled on the stage, which had been tilted upwards to resemble a jagged cliff. As he performed the song, manufactured snow drifted down, heightening the sense of West’s despair. By contrast, the booming “Black Skinhead” was played at such a loud volume that the arena shook as West proved an animated showman, whipping his entire body with the beat.</p> <p></p> <p>As with previous stops, the whole show was high concept, with a stage built to look like a gigantic mountain. For most of the evening, West wore a variety of masks that obscured his face entirely. A group of women, alternatively dressed in prayer robes or flesh-toned body suits, would enter and leave the stage, occasionally bringing votives and other times writhing around West in a simulated orgy. One of the creepiest and most clever moments came during the middle of the concert, when a hairy creature with glowing red eyes leered at West from the mountain, never interacting with him but constantly watching.</p> <p></p> <p>Despite previous setbacks, the entire show went off smoothly. West seemed excited to see his vision executed and equally thrilled to see how well it was received. Born on the 4th of July

<span style="font-size: large;">Watching the Tom Cruise movie <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT6NRc37T_8">"Born on the 4th of July"</a> the other day made me glad to be born in Ireland.  </span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">Based on the life of the now anti-war activist Ron Kovic, it's a film that makes me very sad.  The 20 something year old Kovic is played by the then 26 year old actor Tom Cruise.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">This film was made in 1989 and looking at it now makes me reflect how young Tom Cruise was when the film was made and furthermore how very young all those who were sent to fight in Vietnam were. It brought tears to my eyes.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">Coming from a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutrality_(international_relations)">neutral</a> country and as a pacifist, I look at this film with thoughts of what a wasteful thing to do with the resource of all of the country's young people.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">I have huge respect for all who fight for their country and for their country men and know that they are braver than I will ever be.  I also know that if we were not a neutral country and we went to war, that as a 20 year old my husband would have rushed to sign up. </span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">But ultimately when you see the product of war, that is young people getting killed or maimed, I feel sad sad sad.</span><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">After watching this film, I was moved to search on YouTube for the Donovan song of peace <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT6NRc37T_8">"Universal Soldier"</a></span><br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;">Have you seen this film?  What did you think of it?</span><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />

Call it karmic payback for a team that just one year ago suffered the indignity of going 0-8 in the Southeastern Conference but has now won five games by a touchdown or less.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">It doesn't matter. Auburn is 10-1, headed toward a winner-take-everything showdown with No. 1 Alabama and the author of a touchdown for all time, a replay that will live for as long as the SEC plays important football games and 87,000-plus fans show up to watch therm.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">The Marshall Miracle. The Prayer at Jordan-Hare. The Hail Aubie. The Saint Louis Arch.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Whatever you want to call it, the visual will be unmistakable: Marshall making his five-step drop, looking downfield, stepping into a deep throw, two defenders trying to knock down the pass but ultimately running into each other, the ball bouncing high off safety Tray Matthews at the 20-yard line, popping right to Louis at the 15 who trotted into the end zone as Georgia players and coaches fell to the ground in disbelief.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Ten seconds of pure, breathless chaos.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"When he caught it, I fell on my back," Auburn defensive end Dee Ford said. "I fainted for a second."</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"I didn't know what to think," receiver Sammie Coates said. "I saw the ball in the air, and I said, 'I hope somebody comes down with it.' "</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"It was just an exciting moment to be a part of," Marshall said.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"It was unbelievable," Louis said. "I kind of expected to make a play. But not like that."</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Of course Louis expected to make a play; every receiver at every level would. But the difference between expecting to and doing it is why Auburn, in its first year under Gus Malzahn, can legitimately start thinking about winning the SEC and perhaps even the national title.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">This is not a perfect team, and to understand that all you needed to do was watch the fourth quarter when the Tigers, who once led 37-17 and seemed unstoppable, suddenly couldn't move the ball or contain Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray. In a blink, Murray led back-to-back-to-back touchdown drives, putting Georgia ahead 38-37 with a 5-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-goal.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Malzahn wasn't panicked. After all, he had seen Marshall lead game-winning touchdown drives against Mississippi State and Texas A&M earlier this season, and with 1:49 to work with, getting at least a field goal wasn't impossible.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"Believe it or not, I felt good," Malzahn said. "I had a decent idea how they'd play in their two-minute defense, and we've got a great field goal kicker so we were pretty calm right there."</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">But the chances were slipping away. A screen pass with less than a minute to go went nowhere. Marshall threw an incompletion down the left sideline. Then protection broke down and he was sacked with 36 seconds to play, putting Auburn in fourth-and-18.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Auburn may be playing with house money this season, but after dominating the game for three quarters it would have been crushing to let this one slip away.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Instead, it was Georgia (6-4, 4-3) that had to deal with heartbreak — again — when Murray's desperate attempt to answer Marshall from Auburn's 20 yard line fell incomplete as the clock expired. For the Bulldogs, that kind of ending was oddly fitting during a luckless season in which its hopes of winning the SEC were ruined by significant injuries. There was nothing the Bulldogs could do about the short-handed losses to Missouri and Vanderbilt, but this one will leave plenty of what-ifs.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"By the time I had to speak (in the locker room), I really didn't know what to say," Georgia coach Mark Richt said. "I told them I thought they were a pretty amazing group of guys to get it to 38-37 like we did. I just talked a little bit about what we could learn from it."</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Auburn knows what that feels like. Just a year ago, this program — with largely the same group of players — essentially imploded. While there were plenty of low points, few were worse than walking off the field at Georgia having been beaten 38-0. A few weeks later, head coach Gene Chizik would be out of a job.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"I argued about it all last year," Ford said. "People thought Auburn has no players. I know what I saw. I know what I saw in this team and I know it was just a mental thing we were going through. A lot of tragedies happened last year that we're not even going to talk about. People don't understand, and I knew for a fact these guys had a lot in them."</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">Whatever they had, Malzahn has extracted it. He told his players they were going to pull off the biggest turnaround in college football, and no matter what happens in two weeks against Alabama, they have achieved it.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">From the first time they played this season, when they stopped Washington State at the 27-yard line to preserve a seven-point win, until Saturday, Malzahn has gotten just the right mix of execution, good fortune and belief. Now, he has a very dangerous team on his hands and an epic Iron Bowl ahead.</div><div style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 60px;">"It goes back to our players being able to do it in the heat of the moment, finding a way," Malzahn said. Supreme Court Takes Halliburton's Frontal Assault On Securities Class Actions

<div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img src="http://b-i.forbesimg.com/danielfisher/files/2013/11/300px-Supreme_Court.jpg" width="600"/>Trouble brewing here for class-action lawyers? (Photo credit: Wikipedia)<br /><p>The U.S. Supreme Court yesterday agreed to hear, for the second time, Halliburton's appeal of a securities class-action case that tests a judicially-created doctrine one group of influential critics called 'the most powerful engine of civil liability ever established in American law.' And given that doctrine's narrow escape in a decision earlier this year - Justice Samuel Alito said he would have given it closer scrutiny had it only been before the court - the 'powerful engine' may be in danger of running out of gas.</p><br /><p>At issue in Halliburton v. Erica John Fund is the fraud-on-the-market theory, which allows plaintiff lawyers to construct a class action on behalf of all purchasers of a stock without first proving to the court those buyers relied on false information from the company to their detriment. Fraud-on-the-market entered the securities law book in 1988 with the Supreme Court's 1988 decision Basic v. Levinson, based on the then-new efficient markets hypothesis that a stock's price reflects all the public information that can be known about it.</p><br /><p>Basic passed by a bare four-justice majority (three justices recused, presumably for financial conflicts) and was controversial even at the time. Justice Byron White, in dissent, called the efficient-markets theory 'a mere babe' and warned that it could create 'an investor insurance scheme' that Congress, not the courts, should establish.</p><br /><p>White was right on both counts. I was an ardent fan of the efficient-markets theory after reading Burton Malkeil's A Random Walk Down Wall Street in the late 1980s, but five years of working at Bloomberg News in the 1990s beat it right back out of me. Researchers have identified so many exceptions - from the 'January effect' to the higher returns generated by low price-to-book stocks - that it is a theory in search of objective proof.</p><br /><p>Halliburton notes also that many investors buy stocks because they think the market price is wrong. Otherwise it would make little sense to invest on anything other than a long-term, buy-and-hold basis. Class actions only reimburse investors who bought high and sold low, the opposite of patient, long-term investors.</p><br /><p>And Basic did create a sort of loss-insurance scheme, as well as a wealth-creation machine of prodigious power for Democratic-leaning plaintiff lawyers. Armed with Basic, a negative press release and a stock chart, lawyers could and do file lawsuits accusing corporate executives of fraud and seeking hundreds of millions or billions of dollars to reflect the change in the market value of their company's stock.</p><br /><p>Judges are supposed to analyze these claims skeptically and lawyers have to provide some evidence the stock fell because of a 'corrective' announcement supposedly revealing negative information the company should have released earlier. But in the real world, once a class is certified, companies settle. Between 1997 and 2012, to the tune of $73.1 billion, with lawyers collecting 10-20% of that in fees.</p><br /><p>Halliburton already took the Erica John case to the Supreme Court once, challenging the certification of a class of investors who bought stock between 1999 and 2001 because they hadn't proved Halliburton's announcements caused their losses, as oppposed to other movements in the market. The Supreme Court rejected that argument and sent the case back for further proceedings. After the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals reaffirmed class certification, Halliburton appealed again, this time arguing it should be given a chance to challenge the rebuttable presumption of reliance set out by Basic.</p><br /><p>The fact the Supreme Court took cert in this case shows that at least some of the justices want to hear arguments on whether Basic should remain the law of the land. There may be the votes to overturn it, although even conservative justices have been wary about introducing wholesale changes to tort and class-action law.</p><br /><p>In Halliburton I, they rejected the company's argument that plaintiff lawyers must prove, at the class certification stage, whether the company's statements caused investor losses.</p><br /><p>Then in this year's Amgen v. Connecticut, the court rejected the idea plaintiffs must prove at the class-certification stage that company announcements had a material effect on inflating the stock price. Among other things, the majority noted that Congress had repeatedly tightened up securities class-action laws without upsetting the fundamental economic assumptions behind Basic.</p><br /><p>That decision drew dissents from Justices Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy and Clarence Thomas, however, who said plaintiff lawyers shouldn't be able to bind together a class of thousands or millions of shareholders without the firm glue of a shared explanation for their losses.</p><br /><p>Those dissents included sharp attacks on Basic itself, including this one from Thomas:</p><br /><p>Basic is a judicially invented doctrine based on an economic theory adopted to ease the burden on plaintiffs bringing claims under an implied cause of action.</p><br /><p>More importantly, Alito signaled his willingness to sign on to the cause, voting with the majority against Amgen but saying:</p><br />As the dissent observes, more recent evidence suggests that the presumption may rest on a faulty economic premise.In light of this development, reconsideration of the Basicpresumption may be appropriate.<br /><p>That time of reconsideration may have come.</p><br /></div>

Hot startup Coin has 3 big problems

<div xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'><img src="http://i2.cdn.turner.com/money/dam/assets/131115112652-coin-parashar-620xa.jpg" width="600"/><br /><p>Will this card be the only one you ever need in your wallet again? Startup Coin hopes so.</p><br />Coin is a buzzy new startup that's making a digital credit card that stores information for all the other cards in your wallet. Coin's splashy launch generated a lot of attention, but there are several big issues that need to be resolved if it's going to be a successful product.<br /><p>Coin revealed itself to the world with a gorgeously produced video that lays out how the card will work: Swipe your credit, debit or rewards card through an attachment on your smartphone, snap a picture of the front and back, and the card's information is stored in Coin. Simple, right?</p><br /><p>Once your cards are stored, you can use Coin's digital display to select which of them you'd like to use to pay. Merchants swipe Coin just as they would a regular card.</p><br /><p>In short, Coin aims to solve the problem of too many cards in a fat wallet. That may not sound like a major issue to solve, but loads of people loved Coin's premise and pre-ordered the device for $50 ahead of its slated summer 2014 release (when it will cost $100).</p><br /><p>So yes, the hottest new startup product doesn't exactly exist yet. It's a common phenomenon in the Kickstarter world we live in.</p><br /><p>But CEO and founder Kanishk Parashar told CNNMoney that the company hit its fundraising goal of $50,000 worth of pre-orders in just 40 minutes last Thursday.</p><br /><p>The company -- which is backed by investors including Y Combinator and K9 Ventures -- has been testing working prototypes of Coin and is 'two iterations away' from being ready to manufacture, Parashar said.</p><br /><p>Still, it's hardly clear that Coin can meet its promised launch date of next summer. As with any buzzy product that hasn't yet been released, various problems could prop up. There's already a similar 'all-in-one' card called the Protean Echo that got some tech-press love in August 2012. But the Echo website still lists the product as 'Coming Soon!'</p><br /><p>But even if Coin makes it to consumers on time, here are three other hurdles it must overcome before you can cut up all your credit cards for good.</p><br /><p><strong>Coin won't work if your phone is dead:</strong> Yup. The current iteration of Coin 'locks up' if it's away from your smartphone for more than 10 minutes ... or if your phone's battery has run out.</p><br /><p>It's a security measure to ensure that you don't lose your card, which is a valid concern. (Your phone will even send you a notification if you do leave your Coin behind at a bar.) But having to depend on battery-guzzling smartphones in order to pay for dinner is an obvious problem.</p><br /><p>The company is working on a way to let users re-activate Coin from the card itself, even if a phone is far away or out of juice. But that feature hasn't been worked out yet.</p><br /><p>Related story: How to successfully launch a second startup</p><br /><p><strong>Credit card companies might nix it:</strong> Coin hasn't secured approval with any of the major credit card issuers and networks it hopes to work with, nor has the company gotten a sense of whether the industry would embrace it.</p><br /><p>Parashar said Coin has had 'some conversations with some credit card companies,' but he wouldn't reveal whether they were major issuers or how they felt about his product.</p><br /><p>Why hasn't Coin had more wide-ranging discussions? 'We're a really small company, and these are really large banks,' Parashar said. 'We will talk more when Coin is further along.'</p><br /><p>But one could argue Coin won't get further along if nobody wants to partner with it.</p><br /><p>If major credit cards see Coin as a liability or ripe for fraud -- after all, the actual issued card isn't being presented -- Coin would be sunk.</p><br /><p>Even the mighty Google received an industry wrist slap in August 2012, when it expanded its mobile Wallet program. Google said all major credit cards had signed on, but American Express fired back with a statement that it hadn't approved a partnership and was still learning about Google's technology.</p><br /><p>But Parashar insisted he has 'no concerns' that credit card companies won't endorse Coin. The product already encrypts credit card information, he said, and Coin is working on 'two more features to curb the possibility of fraudulent activity.' Visa , MasterCard , AmEx and Discover either declined to comment about Coin or didn't reply to requests.</p><br /><p><strong>Merchants might be stumped:</strong> Coin's design is slick, but it really doesn't look like the familiar old credit cards merchants are used to accepting. No raised-up numbers. No hologram. No signature (though Coin does feature the cardholder's name on the back).</p><br /><p>'When we pay with Coin in San Francisco, as part of our testing, we are always accepted gladly,' Parashar said.</p><br /><p>And while it's true that other new mobile payment solutions like Square are becoming more common with retailers, it's easy to see how merchants outside of the Bay Area tech scene might be skeptical of a credit card that doesn't look like anything they've seen before.</p><br /><p>Yet Coin doesn't plan to reach out to merchants to facilitate a nationwide rollout.</p><br /><p>'We don't plan to go out of our way to educate the merchant world about it, because we're focused on the consumer side,' Parashar said. 'And anyone who works on the merchant side is also a consumer anyway.'</p><br /><p>Coin has set lofty goals in attempting to tackle the payments industry. What about receivers? And what about his blockers? Those guys protect him from harm like almost no quarterback in the NFL ... uh, except when they push a defender into his legs, as happened last week, right after we put out an article ranking the line as fifth best in the NFL.</p><br /><p>This week, with the Chiefs' potent defense poised to take on that strong Broncos front, is about breaking pass protection in other words, it's about the pass rush, the guys who aim to put the hurt on the likes of Manning. The Chiefs come into this week's highlight matchup against the Broncos with the most sacks in the NFL. But are they the best pass rush in the NFL? Or is their secondary also helping them?
