Yes that’s right. award season has bestowed itself upon us yet again and <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1286094780" style="border-bottom-color: rgb(204, 204, 204); border-bottom-style: dashed; border-bottom-width: 1px; position: relative; top: -2px; z-index: 0;" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ" style="position: relative; top: 2px; z-index: -1;">Sunday</span></span> night the stars shown brightly as they glamorously glimmered down the red carpet of the 71st annual Golden Globe awards. Some were under stated, some were over dressed and some looked as if they got dressed in the dark. The trends of the night were distinctly reminiscent of Fall 2012 NYFW with color blocking, neutrals and the infamous black dress at the forefront. Like most of you, for me the best part of the awards isn’t the acknowledgement of great actors and actresses with an award and acceptance speech but rather a chance to completely pick apart their outfits. Actress Emma Thompson wore a beautiful gold and black color blocked Lanvin gown and while it was a bit stuffy for my taste, she wore it well. ‘Gravity’ star Sandra Bullock told a more bold tale in a pink, black and blue Prabal Grung gown that received mixed reviews via twitter. American Horror Story actresses Tarrissa Farminga, Gabourey Sidibe and Sarah Paulson seemed as though they called each other before hand and decided to match gowns, although all three wore different designers. Farminga chose a flirty fringed Elie Saab number that actually caused a few to compare her to singer Taylor Swift. Paulson wore a long Marchesa gown and Sidibe had on a figure flattering Michael Costello gown. Bridesmaids’ actress Melissa McCarthy was a prime example of a black dress gone wrong in an over sized long sleeved gown with a bizarre silver lining going down the front. On the other end of the spectrum, American Horror Story actress, Emma Roberts  wore a simple under stated floor length Lanvin mermaid gown. Although it was boring, she was stunning in it. These ladies had the best looks of the night, making glamour look simple. ‘12 Years a Slave’ actress Lupita Nyong’o wore a stunning orange Ralph Lauren number that popped on her beautiful complexion. ‘Modern Family’ starlet Sofia Vergara stunned in a jaw dropping jet black Zac Posen number that effortlessly showed her curves in a classic manner. The always timeless and legendary Helen Mirren exhibited grace in a beautifully figure fitting sea foam green Jenny Packham gown. ‘Big Bang Theory’ actress Kaley Cuoco looked like something out of a dream in a gorgeous floral Rani Zakhem couture gown that looked like a piece of art from the impressionist movement. Jennifer Lawrence wore a strapless all white Christian Dior couture gown with odd rope wrapped around the bust and hip area leading twitter to instantly compare her to a scene from the little mermaid, which wasn’t far off. Also making the list is award winner and very talented actress Cate Blanchett in donning a stiff black lace Armani Prive gown that was far more fitting for a glamorous funeral. Drew Barrymore makes the list for wearing probably the most unflattering gown an expectant mother could wear next to Kim Kardashian in Givenchy at the Met Gala last year. Barrymore was in a floor length floral Monique Lhulier gown  that did absolutely nothing for her but remind me of an awful shower curtain.  Actress Elisabeth Moss wore a multi textured burgundy and black train wreck of a gown designed by J.Mendel, there is nothing flattering about something being too tight and covered in mesh. Absolutely nothing. The hands down absolute worst look of the evening went to the absolutely stunning Zoe Saldana. I was just sitting here surfing my daily reads when The Wife jumps up and says "What the Hell is going on?!"<br /><br />WTF?<br /><br />So I get up and look outside and there are 3 Black and Whites in front of my house blocking the driveway.<br /><br />Lemme tell ya, I didn't need that surge of adrenaline twenty minutes after getting up.<br /><br />The first thing I asked was Do They Have A Warrant?<br />They didn't come to the front door, instead they were going up the driveway around the side of the garage.<br />More, WTF?<br /><br />I looked through the garage past my toolboxes and out the window and I see two black guys and some bald headed guy.<br /><br />Not being completely stupid, I didn't go press my nose up against the window, instead I went and got some self protection.<br /><br />Pretty quick there are more cops.<br />5 fucking cop cars out front and they are grilling this one guy right outside my garage window.<br />I'm thinking "get the fucker out in the street you idiots".<br /><br />Pretty soon they drag this one guy out in cuffs and sit him down on the curb.<br /><br />Some fucking thug with his hat on backwards.<br /><br />It turns out one of the black guys was a cop, I couldn't see anything but their heads through the window.<br /><br />4 Black and Whites and one Unmarked for one guy.<br /><br />That's how they roll.<br /><br />Saw the same damn thing yesterday going to work. A Stater came flying by me all lit up and about a half mile down the road they got a car in a parking lot surrounded. only 4 that time.<br /><br />After they searched this perp, they stuffed him in the back seat and off they went.<br /><br />No knock on the door, nothing.<br /><br /><i>I very much do not like this</i>.<br />I know it woke The Wife the fuck up.<br /><br />I been telling her I want to move and I think this finally made my point for me.<br />

Communications manager Nadav Avidan said:<br /><blockquote>“If you want to invest in bitcoin and you’re not a computer geek, you don’t really know where to start. We’re providing a simple way for people to get involved.”</blockquote>According to Navidan, almost 5% of eToro’s active user base (about 200,000 users) have open bitcoin positions at the moment. Users from <a href="http://www.coindesk.com/south-america-first-bitcoin-atm/">South America</a>, <a href="http://www.coindesk.com/tag/uk/">the UK</a> and <a href="http://www.coindesk.com/tag/Germany/">Germany</a> are currently the top bitcoin traders.<br />EToro’s bitcoin prices are in line with those quoted on <a href="http://www.coindesk.com/companies/exchanges/mt-gox/">Mt. Gox</a>. The platform charges 1% of the transaction value on top of each transaction.<br /><h2>Three-click process</h2>Etoro has classified bitcoin as a stock on its platform, partly because it wanted to familiarise users with the cryptocurrency. The platform trades bitcoin on a ‘<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contract_for_difference" target="_blank">contract for difference</a>‘ basis, which means users buy and sell financial derivatives that track the BTC price without actually owning the underlying asset.</div>Etoro’s chief executive and founder Yoni Assia is an outspoken bitcoin supporter, with some 2.6% of <a href="https://openbook.etoro.com/yoniassia/overview/" target="_blank">his eToro portfolio</a> currently in bitcoin. He is also working on an <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AnkP_cVZTCMLIzw4DvsW6M8Q2JC0lIzrTLuoWu2z1BE/edit" target="_blank">open standards protocol</a> to exchange value over the internet with <a href="http://coloredcoins.org/about/what-are-coloredcoins/" target="_blank">coloured coins</a>.<br />The idea behind the coloured coins framework is to allow users to hold various assets, in addition to bitcoin, by marking individual coins as unique units. These ‘marked’ bitcoins can then theoretically carry a value independent of the prevailing bitcoin price if they are backed by a contract or agreement.<br />Coloured coins can, therefore, be used to store and exchange assets other than bitcoin, including currencies, equities or bonds – while taking advantage of the block chain to verify transactions.<br /><h2>About eToro</h2><a href="http://media.coindesk.com/2014/01/etoro-review-300x300.jpg"><img alt="eToro" class=" wp-image-36008 alignright" height="192" src="http://media.coindesk.com/2014/01/etoro-review-300x300.jpg" width="192" /></a><br />eToro bills itself as a ‘social investment network’ that combines trading currencies, commodities, indices and equities with social networking features. It has more than 3 million users in 200 countries, with about 200,000 active users, according to Avidan.<br />One of the features eToro touts is <a href="http://www.etoro.com/en/trading-academy/copy-vs-mirror/" target="_blank">Copy Trader</a>, which allows users to replicate other users’ trades. The concept is similar to mirror trading, a well-established trader strategy.<br />User profiles include metrics like the ratio of “winning trades”, or the ratio of positions that were closed with a gain, the percentage of profitable weeks and the average number of days a user chose to leave a position open.<br />An eToro user can analyse these statistics and choose to copy users who they deem to be successful. The platform claims that Copy Trader users have a “win ratio” of 80%, TechCrunch <a href="http://techcrunch.com/2012/03/13/social-investment-network-etoro-is-picking-up-another-15-million-from-spark-others/" target="_blank">has reported</a>.<br />The <a href="https://openbook.etoro.com/rankings/" target="_blank">most copied trader</a> on eToro at the moment, within a six-month period, is <a href="https://openbook.etoro.com/anassleiman/" target="_blank">AnasSleiman</a>, with 8,375 users replicating his trades. Recent months have not been kind to the popular trader, however, as his portfolio is down nearly 30%. AnasSleiman, whose profile says he is based in Ireland, holds about two-thirds of his portfolio in currencies and the rest in commodities and indices.<br />A cursory search revealed a number of websites and forum posts calling eToro a “scam”. The company even has a <a href="http://www.etoro.com/usa/forex/scam/" target="_blank">page</a> dedicated to debunking these accusations. Avidan dismissed the accusations, saying that users wrongly blamed the platform when they lost money on trades.
