You could take everything on Diigo tagged with the course number into a notebook (or into a Google spreadsheet, for that matter.) If you want to discuss research sources, social bookmarking is the best way to do this. We should see more classrooms using Diigo (the most superior bookmarking service, in my opinion) or Delicious as they discuss and share the documents they will use in their research papers.  I’ve found when topics need deeper research or when the sources of research are in dispute, that social bookmarking is the best way to facilitate those discussions. It is a powerful form of pre-writing for students. If they can begin the conversations around research articles and sources, then more accurate information will emerge in their final document. Often students don’t verify the sources of information and should learn to view all online information with skepticism and a critical eye as they converse over what makes a good source. But seriously…<br /><br />I never realized that there was such a great divide between liver haters and liver lovers until I put a few pictures on my Facebook page yesterday.<br /><br />I mean, I knew that my BFF/OSOP Schmoop hated it.  I discovered that Jayman hated it, but c’mon, there are more than a plethora of you liver haters out there, and more importantly, liver lovers, right?<br /><br />What’s up with you liver hatin’ mutha fu--shut your mouth!!<br /><br />Liver is good for a soul.  It’s chock full of protein, iron, Vitamin A…Oh but no, we hate it, because it’s different.  It’s not ground round, sirloin, or t-bone…it violates the inner-sanctum of the cow.<br /><br />Bullshit...It’s part of the same God Damn Cow that is so God Damn cute, and delicious, so you pretentious, elitist, only save the organ part of the cow altruist pansies need to shut the hell up.<br /><br />But you know what?<br /><br />The removing and subsequent cooking of Elsies’s liver can teach us all a story.<br /><br />I was shocked, and not in a bad way mind you, okay, yes a bad way, to find out yesterday that the cooking of liver was such a divisive issue.<br /><br />I’m sorry, but cooking the innards of such a stupid animal and having it taste awesome is not something that I care about.<br /><br />Yet, I heard the roars of, <i> “Groooosssssssss.” </i> Gross?  Liver is awesome, tasty, and already cooked as we speak.<br /><br />Here’s the thing….<br /><br />I posted several pics and quips on my personal Facebook page yesterday that revolved around me cooking liver and Schmoop hating it.<br /><br />There were numerous and diverse opinions about the likes and dislikes of said liver, but…it was fun.  And you know what?  One person said…<i>“I should try it.”</i><br /><br />It’s a shame that Congress can’t have the same collegial feeling and fun time debating a topic.<br /><br />Of course, while we were happily and humorously debating the liver topic yesterday on Facebook, we weren’t being influenced by the American Liver Council, and there my friends, lies the problem.<br /><br />Noooooooo…not with the American Liver Council (if there is one), but with special interest groups and lobbyists…<br /><br />Folks…<br /><br />You and I, because of us lacking a voice, are living in a country and government controlled by a guy who wants tariffs on wheat lifted, a gun lobby that wants to sell guns because they just likes to sell gun, and a chick who longs for legalized cunnilingus and a guy who has God so far up his ass, he shits righteousness while pimping ads for LifeLock.<br /><br />Uuch…<br /><br />I made liver yesterday…It caused some consternation, and …we had fun with it.  Liver became a very divisive issue.<br /><br />But…I cooked it.  I ate it.  I posted pictures.  And no one got hurt.<br /><br />All were happy…<br /><i><br /></i> <i>Matt-Man</i><br /><i>Cheers!!</i><br /><br /><a href="mailto:mattmaniws@ymail.com">mattmaniws@ymail.com</a><br /><span style="color: blue;"><a href="https://twitter.com/MattMan_IWS">@mattmaniws</a></span><br /><br /><br /><br />Be sure to check out the I’m With Stupid podcast! The Wolverines looked vulnerable again at halftime of this one. They led 30-26, but Burke hadn't made a shot from the field.<br /><br />On this night, though, he had plenty of help. Robinson, the son of the former Purdue star with the same name, scored Michigan's first 11 points of the second half, including three 3-pointers.<br /><br />Robinson put the Wolverines up 41-30 with a 3-pointer. He finished 8 of 9 from the field.<br /><br />Hardaway, another Michigan player with a familiar name, went 8 of 13 and made five 3-pointers.<br /><br />With 11:01 to play, Burke hit the ground with a thud while competing for a defensive rebound. He immediately grabbed his head, although it wasn't clear if the main point of impact was his head, his back or perhaps his left arm.<br /><br />Burke was able to walk off the court but went down the tunnel toward the locker room. He returned to the game with 9:23 to go. Burke finished with seven assists, which helped offset his poor shooting.<br /><br />Michigan freshman Mitch McGary, making only his third start of the season, gave the Wolverines some added muscle inside. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound McGary added an exclamation mark late in the game when he stepped in front of a pass by Wolters, stole the ball and went all the way for a dunk to make it 65-52.<br /><br />Brayden Carlson had 20 points for the Jackrabbits, but only four after halftime.<br /><br />Burke is a national player of the year candidate, and Wolters is one of the country's top scorers, but the much-anticipated matchup of talented point guards never really lived up to the hype.<br /><br />Burke scored only two points in the first half, and Wolters had only four.<br /><br />Carlson kept the Jackrabbits in the game, and Hardaway picked up the slack for the Wolverines with 12 first-half points, all on 3-pointers.</div></div></div>

<p>Thirtysomething - did you watch it?</p><p>I loved this TV programme back in the late '80s.  Scary to think I am now "Thirtysomething". Eeek!  </p><p>BTW, did you know that the actors who played Nancy and Michael are married?</p><p>I think Michael and Gary were my favourite - who was your favourite? Irish Food Fleadh

Superquinn are having an Irish Food "Fleadh" (pronounced "Fla" it is the Irish word for Festival) so I picked up some great fillet steaks and also a great free little recipe booklet.
